Who else out there is silently keeping track of this game to see what happens?
Once a week or so I log on to see if this game has been released yet, what things are going on with beta, and what people think of it.
I feel like this could be a good game, but will probly take a year or so of sheer-survival to get to greatness, if it even survives launch.
Another week goes by, no visible progress. |

the earliest this game will be released is July. I don't care for the wait. Same thing happened with Darkfall. This is an indie MMO. I commend the effort of the company to make this game. I am patiently waiting. |

I'm keeping track by trying each new patch a little bit...but I'm not 100% into the beta like I used to be. I have an exciting feeling for the game though...I just don't know when! haha Disclaimer: This is not a troll post and is not here to promote any negative energy. Although this may be a criticism, it is not meant to offend anyone. If a moderator feels the post is inappropriate, please remove it immediately before it is subject to consideration for a warning. Apparently it's going into Open Beta sometime next week? I am so excited to play this game because it has so much potential to be great. It will give SV so much respect which it clearly deserves. It is so unique compared to all the other MMOs out there (Apart from DFO and UO) and it has none of this same old grind, kill X amount of Y type of game play. You're free to do what you want, went you want and how you want. I am so excited for Mortal Online. Shh! I'm gangstering! |

I 100% guarentee that this game becomes vaporware
in fact its the worst MMO I've ever seen and I've played almost every single one out there |

Next week will not be open beta. We will get the Big patch as the poster above you said. It will be on or after the 17th. It is supposed to have new content, the closer to real crafting and more mobs with real AI. If you believe in miralcles, this will bring the game to life and the open beta will follow. If you are closer to reality based. The game will be in better shape but will delay another 2 months or so to get the core features working as intended.

i dont think you get what I'm saying.....this game is fucking terrible...I've been in beta since day 1 and its still the worst MMO I've ever seen in my life and this has nothing to do with it being in beta. There isn't any content at all in the game whatsoever...its a total fucking joke and a total embarrassment to the MMO genre and is a step backward in the progress of next generation MMO's. |

Your opinion is your opinion. That shouldn't stop anyone else from having thier own opinion as well. None of what you said should stop anyone from watching how the game progresses. Or take what you say for anything other than opinion even with your beta claim. I am in beta as well. Didn't like it much in group A. Left along time and came back to a better experience. The game will release at some point. I hope they wait a month or two. But in my opinion, it can be a very good game for players that want something along the lines of UO. “How many people long for that "past, simpler, and better world," I wonder, without ever recognizing the truth that perhaps it was they who were simpler and better, and not the world about them?” |

if you think this game is even remotely like UO then you're on crack, not sure what else to say SV should be embarrassed that it can't release a game even half as good as something almost 15 years older than it |

A news update about the Release of the game is coming on monday, so stay tuned !
The devs say also that Thursday's patch "will dramatically change the game", I think we all can wait a few days to see if they told the truth or not :) I'll make my choice with the feedback of thursday's patch |

What do you mean by content? I see lots of content, from an outsiders perspective (no, I refuse to PAY for beta). It has crafting, house building, townships, open classes, exploration, and open pvp. That is grounds for open player economy and open player politics with open player territories. And by open territories, I mean OPEN. No set lines, only "Oh man x guild usually rolls around here and they are really defensive of their mines... better find a way around if we don't wanna die."
If by content you mean, quests and raids... I'm not interested and never have been. This obviously isn't one of those games and shouldn't be. |

it doesnt have crafting and exploration? lol really? exploration of WHAT...theres nothing to explore except for empty open land and a single empty dungeon which has zero reason for existing and there is no economy since everything is extremely easy to get and is therefor, worthless. As for not wanting PvE content well I have to say you're completely clueless and have no idea how these games work and you should be playing a different genre since this entire genre is built upon PvE. You probably might want to look into FPS games instead since thats obviously what you're looking for. |

You are seriously misinformed. Crafting - Is not in. There is currently a place holder ( npc ), and anyone can pretty much craft what they want. Gathering ( the first half of crafting ) is also not finalized as nodes are still infinite. However, the next update is supposed to add the finalized version. Hopefully it will go well. Housebuilding - Is there. It is still a little buggy, but not bad. Townships?? Certainly you can create your own community, but there isn't actually any game mechanics to promote a township. Open Classes - Is not in. Yes, you can be what you want, but there are no secondary skills to level up that would define yourself as a class. Taming is about the closest thing to a class. Thieving was in for a little bit, but was so buggy it was taken out. Next update is supposed to introduc secondary skills, and hopefully it will go well. Exploration, nope not there. A different poster already explained to you. Open PvP, sorta there. Combat is still bugged and there really isn't any reason to PvP, except to PvP. Kinda sound familiar..... D...A...R...K...F...A...L...L. Granted that isn't such a bad reason except that MO wasn't designed with that intention.
If somebody has other FACTUAL information ( a video/screenshot ) it might be a great time to share it. |

I guess you missed my point. I was speaking of post release. Not beta. Beta isn't a game, if you aren't aware as to what a beta is, it is used to test games before release and don't include full features. If you are playing it now and say it sucks, perhaps you should tell them about the bugs you encounter like a good beta tester would. |

Thx for all the rude comments. If you hate the game so much why are you in the forums for it?
I get it. Game sux, has no content, is glitchy, attracts bees, and has a 89% chance of giving you aids. I'll be sure to stay away then. Otherwise, the whole point of this thread was to just see who else is standing on the sidelines waiting to see what happens with this game, as an observer. Apparently it is best to stay on the sidelines, otherwise you'll get run over by the nay-sayer train.
See all you imagination-less pansies in wow then. |
