During PVP contenders can battle til they fall unconscious when HP hits 0 instead of dying. And a infection meter sounds like a good idea. So would that be under the HP meter or the Manna/MP/stamina/whatever? I think it would be interesting if there was no meters like that and using powers like telekinesis would drain HP. There would be no "magic" powers that heal, the only way to heal is by resting or using medicine. This defeats the need for players to follow the path of a healer all the time. Any one or more players could act as a healer when needed. Course we can made skill sets made for healing like first aid that can allow you to heal other players and yourself as long as there is a first aid kit in your inventory, the skills just have a recharge time. I personally would prefer that idea.

Also I feel players should have access to vehicle inspired mounts. Like motorcycles, cars, etc... One idea can be a modified pick-up truck complete with armor plating. The truck can be summoned using a keychain beeper item and it can run on gas or solar energy or something like that. But what should be different and unique is that tje pick-up truck has it's own inventory grid so it is perfect for people collecting a lot of items for quests/crafting. Or! Instead of holding items it can hold four fellow party members, these members cannot be harmed by incoming enemies (driver included is void of damage) making party travel much easier. Now to weaken so to speak the awesomeness of this "mount" it runs on some sort of energy fuel that eventually runs out, once it runs out it just stops and all players are removed from the truck. The truck will then have to recharge it's battery or something. Also the quest required to take in order to obtain a truck can be difficult. Plus the truck remains in the field, and if the players all die someone could walk on by and steal your items! Dunno just an idea. Other than a pick-up truck, we can try motorcycles, ships, or even planes and airships. We can if popular enough uses horses as well. |

Eww....just and a idea lol But yes I didn't think of that at first, but personally I really would like to see the truck idea implemented in gameplay. I think it's a very cool, and quite diverse feature. But the horse idea is interesting because it can become a food supply and a horse would likely be cheaper then a truck in terms of powering players. On a other note I came up with a few more quests. I got like 3-4 right now. It's difficult to come up with really nice ones because a lot of MMOs now are adding more and more to the quests so we all have to catch up. I think most quests should have some sort of cinematic to them and perhaps alternate ways to complete and even end them. Like for example maybe you have to save a refugee family's father. His caravan got ambushed by ghouls and his whereabouts are unknown. You go out and find him but he's infected. If you have the antidote with you, you can heal him or just kill him and you will recieve a different ending (and reward) depending on what you do. |

I was thinking Running of the Dead or with or from, but Dead Man's Land sounds cool. Also, the conversation has only petered down, I think a couple of us are still watching it, I know I am. I've also thought up a few other tidbits about the game, but it's still in the dreaming stage of it all in my head.
Dead Man's Land .com is already taken! It's a filler page, so pooh. .net is still available. Any other ideas, guys? |

...wow...isn't it ironic that besides the zombies, any sort of skill-based progression, the existence of friendly NPCs and the existence of a starter area that you just described LOVE in a nutshell? |

Ah, alright. I'll have to check the game out. Is it console, PC, or both? I only remember vaguely hearing about it. |

Oh! LOVE! I watched the dev video on that like four days ago! Yeah, that looked cool. Definitely not the direction we'll be going, at least not quite. Very cool ideas, though. |

Definitely check out the thread, these guys had some great ideas. Gave me the better part of the framework to go with, and Android's been tossing a ton of cool ideas my way. Some won't work, but if I'm the decider of what will ultimately go into the game, I'd say at this point he's the voice inside my head whispering more ideas than I would've possibly thought up on my own. Some awesome stuff he's been thinking. |

Ditto on that for the most part, although I'm sure I'd try it out....if it wasn't $50. I like the theme park games from time to time, because it's a fun ride, but it's not what I want to go back to again and again. Good to see you're watching the thread still, it was a fun one. |
