I feel Aion should have been L3.  If the code hadn't been stolen it would have been.

Seems more like Aion was something quick NC tossed out there to make some dough in between the GW and L3 successors since TR lost all subs. 

Aion actually isn't that bad of a game as it sits alone.  It'll be even better with the 1.6 patch.  The only parts that turned me away were the community and botting.  And the largest issue that they've created is going to be a severly struck population.  I'm sure it'll have enough to carry on for a year or so, but out of 67 players in my guild: ~50 quit.

NCSoft won't release any Fantasy based MMORPG for the next 5 years, and when they do, it will be more likely Aion 2.

 

Dont you think that Lineage and Aion is the only games NCSoft publish? GW is the game they rely on most and GW2 is currently under development.

NCssss will realize L3 when (if) they loose all other popularity of Aion, GW2, L2 or if Tera win them by popularity. Why they make new game if most of their old on top. So L2 maniacs never will like L3 but if L3 be created for "new generation gamers" it will be too easy, if L3 be like L2 it will be disliked by new cuz new generation games are too easy, simple and stupid. Noone anymore make hard, long and too difficult games like L2, and NC will not make L3 like L2 :P

Oh sorry but no, NC have lots of games that are easy and dont need more...

To keep hardcore PVPers and PVEers they need a game like L2. L1 was hard L2 is hard L3 will most likely be hard or grindy. Out of L2s 19 mil subscribers only 500k is in EU/NA. Its a game designed for Asians but many EU/NA likes it anyways.

Well probably L3 will get out after Blade&Soul.

If there is one thing that NCSoft excel at it's creating BOT-Infested games, why not capitalise on that & create an entire game that allows you to have many BOTS & the "game" is just the managing of them?

Hard games often get much bots since ppl are lazy, NCSoft just happen to create big ones and the NA/EU NC is bad at taking care of bots so maybe just maybe you should rethink what you just wrote down.

huh yeh if many players use bots - the game is too hard to play :) .. that is positive for players searching hardest level games like L2; L2 still is one of hardest games to collect best wearpons and armors, all way is hard, trade, quest, grinding, raiding, with or without clan - and that is the CHARISMA of the Lineage2

may be L3 must try to combine hard and easy way (like easy and hard 2-profession quests added in gracia) for advance in game, expanding the quests, items locations is good but the game will become to impossible for newcomers

Magic World Online has bots built into the game level cap is upto like 120,  for those of you too lazy or lacking in skill bot away in perfectly legal surrounds. Warning its an asian mmo so its grindy.

If many ppl bot then it means that many ppl are playing the wrong game. Korean L2 doesnt have close to this many bots that we have in EU/NA, its the players fault not the game.

L3 should have less grind that can be done by bots, more rewarding events for legit players and i think its a winning concept.

EDIT: if u long back to those days i would hold my eyes open for TERA, its the same creators as of L2 just before they added interlude and kamaels and such crap.
