I'm just happy they at least tried something different. Hopefully they survive and thrive. BOOYAKA! |

Great PR vid, but let's face the reality Half of the features wont be implemented due to technical issues / money / time limitations / insertrandomexcusehere Life's a bitch, you know.

Yep, looks amazing. Probably set to drop in 2012 shortly after the world is scheduled to end. Currently Playing: Toying around with AoC and bored with Darkfall Thinking of Playing: Fallen Earth or Darkfall after this months update. Have Played: EQ1, EQ2, WoW, WAR, Vanguard, EvE, Requiem, PW, Lotro, Lineage2, AoC, SWG... |

Hype hype hype! If I had to guess, they put some of the art, models, mechanics into a single player beefed up version of itself just to record the damn video. I've never played Aion and never will, but the video / forum hype crap has been done 200 times over from MMO companies who pushed out underpar games. Hopefully, for the Aion fans anyway, I'm wrong.

Aion has a lot of flaws, but their developers didn't do one thing yet, promise something that they didn't deliver. |

Darkfall was in development for a very long time. There was a period where we had no visuals to go by.
That would make your previous comparision completely futile then. We have visuals to go by in this case, added to actual ingame experience to try and match what we're looking to along with what we already know for certain. Thing is, if you've played Aion already, you most likely can figure out what to expect just by looking at the video: Pets/mounts system, where you must defeat them before chasing a la pokemon.
Take all those elements, use your game experience to try to figure out how it might be implemented in order to change the game enough, but without reinventing anything really, and you will understand exactly what the trailer means. And, it made me rejoice, I'm already level 50 with good gear, so bring the new content on ^^ |

Instead NCsoft decided to post a video of the working game. If anything, that proves that the features are indeed in the game (although unknown at this time on whether they work properly and without bugs). What more proof does one need of a feature than a video displaying that feature? The next step is the live game and this is obviously not ready for live. Remember that they could have just released a list, and it would have been equally binding to what we witness in this video. |

I will admit that swimming with those giant guppies looked like fun. I miss Aquazone. What about a tropical fish based MMO? The housing would probably pull a lot of players from WoW. The coolest feature I saw was trainable mounts. I am very surprised WoW doesn't have this yet. Wait two months. "" Voice acting isn't an RPG element....it's just a production value." - grumpymel2 |

Enjoyed watching that video.The things shown are deffo nice to watch in a TRAILER ...but I have very serious doubts as to wich it would actually work gameplay wise . Guess im a bit pesimistic with every new mmo trailer I watch ....never biting into hype ever again after the aoc/war/aion bot fiascos |

so what is this Aion hype 2.0? The fanbois already got me to get this game at launch and it was a huge waste of money. If i'm gonna play another korean grinder i'll choose TERA over Aion any day. NCsoft is probably one of the worst gaming companies out there, look at their track record... But honestly them implementing all this stuff just shows what a pos product they released at the start. |

Wtf? It's like it's not even the same game from those videos, the difference is night and day. That's more along the lines of what was promised and should have been delivered at release. I was really interested in Aion until I played beta and saved myself the 50 bucks, but even this has my attention. It will be interesting to see if they can pull it off to any degree of success.

To be fair - they often do a better job with the feature than the original company. Witness siege content and queue from anywhere BGs they took from Warhammer. I don't criticize Blizzard at all for copying good ideas. I would want any game I had put a lot of time into to use features that are good, whether they are original or not. I enjoyed the trailer, but can't help think that the average computer can't handle a lot of that detail yet. They might be targeting much of this content for several years down the road when the overall level of the gaming market has stronger computers.

I don't even like Aion, but this is awesome ._.;;;;
I also find it hilarious Blizzard, a company with MILLIONS up MILLIONS of dollars cannot upgrade their visuals at all in the 4+ years of WoW running ( I don't mean tiny ass little changes, but huge visual changes like this). I mean it doesn't have to be mandatory visuals, but players whose PC's can handle should have the option... God,I wasted so much time on WoW.... |
