Yup no grind what so ever. The item shop don't have to be use as well, its all up to you. Starting to get hard as hell right now, now that i am level 52 and harder to group, cost a lot of helm "gold" to +gear now so...yeah SUN is bringing the heat at 50+ |

Game has 0 world pvp, the penalties make it basically unplayable for 20 hours per person you kill outside of the designated pvp areas. Lag is bad, classes are horribly unbalanced when it comes to pvp, and the UI is pretty crappy. If you can get past those flaws the party mechanic and dungeons are pretty fun for a while, but certainly can get repetitive. Another plus is the feeling of actually being strong. My class has felt like a one woman killing machine throughout the whole game. (I'm an ether mage) Leveling is very quick, by far the fastest leveling Asian mmo I have ever played.
This is certainly not for people into freedom or exploration. You are on super rails in this game. |

Don't forget about the reward system in the AC menu, that is something to work on for sure. and yeah... the dam casters just blow there way out of anything, kill very fast, it is insane to see with my slow bazerker. The open world in this game has no pvp truth. It is PK that equal to murder and killers get punish harshly as a reward, it is your own choice. |

I said it before, these are businesses, they are not your rich guy with a dream to create a great game. Those days of basement dwellers and garage technicians are gone,it is all business now. You want something different or creative then look to Square Enix, they do things a little different.Cut Schilling is that rich guy with a dream of designing his own game, but he unfortunately was a WOW/EQ player if i'm not mistaken so you can probably expect more of the same. You need to realize that gaming in Korea was all MU online for many years. They were very slow moving on change.I think they feel satisfied they have upped the graphics,so don't expect much change for another few years. I like the looks of TERA online ,it looks like they are trying to create some creative combat, but i do not for a minute expect any other content outside of the combat system.Hey give them time they are sloooooooooooooooow, another 10 years they may be on top of the world with games everyone wants to play. BTW ,forgot to ask because i can't be bothered to try SUN,do they have any working doors ?? lol or is it still static buildings with NPC's standing in front of them? http://www.youtube.com/user/Napolianboo#p/u/15/rCYLLQCNc1w |

LOL, Yes there are doors you must interact with to open them, there are traps as well as trap doors you must interact with to move on. SUN is good not great but just good, it is quest driven to the fullest no grind!!. The best asian MMO out but have not made shine yet in scores here. New update on the way with new class levels and skills + content to help you all the way to level 120, max level as of now is 70, content stops around level 58-59 so from there you must repeat "NOT GRIND" just repeat boss missions to lvl 70. |

Need to try it before saying it's not a grind, ether saga is quest based also and dungeons mobs give crap exp so it's not worth fighting them unless you have quests. The more you leveled the longer it took you to level (of course but wait for what I'm gonna say) There were events weekly to boost you exp and dailies which is something that I liked (apart of invasion event that starts at 1 am at my time and ends at 2 am) but once I reached my 40s in the game events always give you less exp after every level till a certain point that is useless doing them anymore (getting 3% exp from an event it's not worth it imo) So my only way on leveling was getting quests and do them (there's a hell lot of quests) many kill 50 of x mob there were even higher ones I think and when you went to finish quest you would get like 5% of exp and to add to it mobs exp suck. So I got bored trying to level and eventually stopped playing it. |

In S.U.N you level good by doing the quest with an actual small script of a story, each quest ends with you having to killed a leader or captain. The game is fun and have a good in game community with a few jackasses. The community on the forums of ijji need some serious help. This is by far the best korean MMO out even thou we get the half stick of the US version. have you even read up on my other post about SUN? I don't need to try it.

Yeah being killed with a clean name by someone with dirty name should not make you drop your goods, only they should drop there items if killed. It is kinda backwards cause when I kill the bad names they drop jack sht. |

Hi, first post here just wanted to comment on SUN. I've been playing the game (ijji's version) since the OP and really like the game. Graphics are nice I have mine maxed at 1600x1200 with little or no stutter. I just got my main character to lev61 and have run through available quests, now what is asked of you is to repeat some quest for Area Conquest (AC) which you recieve rewards for after 10%, 20, 30,40,50..etc...in each of the three available areas. With a good party helping (the experience is greater with full parties) leveling to the current cap of 70 should not take too long, but I can always wait till the next update and have an easier time. Grinding isn't nessesary. I'm not a pvp person per say, but have had the same experience with high levels taking out nOObs in certain areas...sucks, but if you switch servers you most likely will find the second one empty and have a free shot at the quest. I'm also willing to help out anyone that needs it... my IGN is Abernathy---(gender locked classes, what can you do..) also my guild "GamersSyndicate" is always reqruiting...

Compared to other mmo's where grind is the base for leveling I've found SUN to be XP friendly with Quests, of course you'll be lost with your first char and might take a bit of time to get used to the system, but you can easily get up to lvl 20 in 4-5 hours perhaps less once you know how to move and where to go.
Graphics are nice and the zones I've been too are great, the effect when you look through ice is nicely done, if you are tired of massive grind mmo's you MUST give SUN a chance, next month we are supposed to get a update adding more quests for lvl 60+ thus reducing grind also lvl cap will be raised. |

I hope so, we may actually get 2 as the webzen version just had level cap raised to 100, but no new quests (but three tower areas...you have to pay for a key to enter) until the December-ish update. Whats even more exciting, if it lasts long enough, is that the Korean version just got mounts!!!!!!!! |

I have to agree with another guy here that said you re looking stupid when you write such things without even know about the game. First of all it's THE MOST NON-GRIND game ever. You CAN'T level by grinding and you DON'T NEED too, because you lvl with quests. Currently the game is in a beta and it doesnt have much content yet, and the max lvl is 70 right now, although after 60-61 you don't have anymore quests. This games rocks, it has long, big dungeons with great atmhosphere, great graphics, nice looking mobs especially bosses, nice equipment, a ton of skills etc. Can't wait for the update actually the closed beta version, which includes NA, UK, Mexico, pretty much is Ijji Version, is a grindfest starting at lvl 79+. I wouldn't really recommend anyone who hasn't tried this game as of yet since there are several minor bugs and exploits that Webzen stated they are not going to fix as of yet. I would rather wait until the new games are out this Q1. mysticque@darkhorselords.com |
