I enjoyed playing AOC but its been 4 months now since i quit. My biggest issue was lack of variety in armor, weapons etc. Almost everyone looked the same regardless of their levels. Thats the same reason why my Fiance quit too. We both would like to come back and give AOC a second try. I would just like to know if there has been any new additions to armor sets? i was lvl 40 when i quit and customization was really boring.

Other then that i have no issues or complaints with AOC

There's a re-evaluation going on right now, you should be able to play. I haven't noticed much in the way of new outfits at my level since being back (46).

At her level I would say no, I can't comment overall, as i have only played a few times during the re-evaluation going on. Did I not answer her question well enough the first time? I can only comment on what I have seen, for all I know there could be 100's of new armors.

*Shrug* I can't say what the op got from your response but you state "you should be able to play" before saying anything else, then mention that you haven't seen any new outfits so it seems rather vague.

It does depend on what kind of armor you guys wear. Cloth, Light, Medium, Heavy, Full? classes you play.

Honestly there has been very little additions to gear around level 40. Did you get the gear from the Santumn of Burning Souls?

There has been a little increase in visual types at higher up levels from the content put in.

I figured as I am in her lvl range, I would try and help by saying I have not seen any. Which would imply there might be none, if there was anything new I would have most likely seen some by now, as I search the auctioneer regularly, looking for exactly what she was asking about.

To be less vague, since you played within the last 4 months there has not been an update since then that focused on armors, or items. You most likely know about the PVP armors that were added with the pvp update a while back. Other than that I have not heard a mention of new armors.

As for why I mentioned she could probably play, was I was unaware if she was aware they have a re-eval going. In case she was not I figured it would help.

There are some different looking items that are drops or quest rewards, but many of the items with better stats tend to look pretty basic around level 40. One thing I wanted to mention is that they are working on an appearance tab and hope to have it in the 1.06 patch. That will go a long way to being able to customize appearance.

I have noticed that some of the really uniqe gear is found in dungeons as boss drops, or on high lvl instances (group or raid) Most gear will seem alike, as its normal clothes. I don?t know what kind of armor your used to, but even when I played wow, I was mostly alike for like 30 lvls, so no real difference before top lvl there either back then.

Guess that lvl 40 is minimum (Sanctum) to get any uniqe gear after Tortage.

Itemisation in the lower levels has always been fairly poor (outside dungeons). But if do the dungeons you can get some fairly good gear and its fun too :)
