Fail. The only problem that's somewhat acceptable with DAO is the DLC content at launch. But judging by the length/contents/price of the DLC, I don't mind. For $7 it has far more content than Fallout 3's DLC which was $10. |

Originally posted by vesavius I'm often very reluctant to call someone a troll or there post a failure but you have achieved both of those titles. I can only guess something about TOR is pushing you towards seeking knowledge to bolster some kind of point/agenda. First you do not mention one single problem you had with the game in your original post nor the next lame one you made in stating that a technical support forum says so. I don't make it a habit to visit tech support forums myself because I rarely have an ingame problem with the games I play but I certainly doubt a game that is popular is not going to have some posts on it. Honestly and really I think you should be asking yourself if anyone sees the big issues you seem to see as opposed to asking if we are questioning bioware over the fact that they don't have an empty tech support page.

I've been playing DA since last week and not come across a single issue with the game, nor have any of my guild mates who bought the game. I'm also not concerned with trawling through a support forum when I have no problems with the game.

wow that is scary everyone agreeing but the OP has to be a record for on here. but yeah it ran great for me , i did have 1 crash for some reason when i went through a door, it just all locked up but that was 1 time out of idk how many hours of play, and i started over at one point because i didn't like my build/character |

DGO had an excellent launch so i have no idea what the op is getting at. If anything it shows bioware can't make anything below amazing rpgs. Sorry but DGO is gonna snag many awards this year. GOTY will go to MW2 but theres really no competing with that game. |

Meh I disagree, I loved dragon age though I've heard some people have memory leak issues, I was pretty sure this would lead to hate for tor, even tho in all likelyhood the teams are different. ![]() |

Its better to be quiet and perceived as stupid, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt. |

I'm still trying to determine if this is a joke thread. Bioware can't get SP games right? Bioware? Good God, crazy people nowadays... Nature without Technology is little more than animals running about. |

DA:O was very good. Only "problem" I had was difficulty. Normal was like playing Nightmare or something. But when I tried patch I saw that playing on unpatched normal was challenging and more fun. Load times after six hours or so play became horrible, but computer restart would solve that. One of the best games I played. |

DOA runs fine for me. OP needs to learn that the shrooms are to be used for potions and not ingested directly. |

Unless you've been in a vacuum, you'd know there were registration/activation issues between EA and Bioware with a number of digital releases. It was not a majority but it certainly was enough to say they shoudl have done better. parrotpholk-Because we all know the miracle patch fairy shows up the night before release and sprinkles magic dust on the server to make it allllll better. |

I don't have faith in any MMORPG developer to have a totally smooth launch. I don't buy any game until at least a month after release. |

You mean for the first few hours of launch where their servers were getting hammered by millions? *plays the world's smallest violin* |

I don't care WHO is making this game. There is only ONE thing you need to know. Where they got there game engine. Simutronics: Hero Engine. This engine is all you need to know to want to play this game. It has all the answers. |

Purchased Digital CE day of release. Install: Flawless Activation of game and all items: A little buggy, but nothing 15 seconds of forums searching didn't solve - Activated in 15ish minutes. Gameplay: Flawless maxed out on win 7 x32 AND x64
I know alot of people had problems, but to imply the game release was botched is just plain stupid. Get your head out of your @ss op. Nothing in this world is perfect.

I notice after a few hours my load times increase and I even crashed once. Nothing more than any other game that just released. If a game has a buggy bad mess, general forums on bioware, as well as even here, would be full of posts. Is an MMO much harder to release than this? Hell yes. BUT, to everyone who has bought and played the game, think of one thing. They had Hundreds of thousands (if not more) people registering, loading in content, downloading content, and logging into the game at the same time. Was it a little slow to download some things once in game? Sure. Did it crash and not let you play, or not load your screenshots? Nope. That, to me, was them testing their system for TOR. I bet we can see a great launch come TOR release. Just like this. |

Yet another "my life sucks so I think I will bitch" post. Dragon age isnt an MMORPG, it isnt a precursor to Old Republic. Not even sure why we are talking about it here. It isnt even geared to the same twitchy crowd. There is a reason Bioware decided to return to their roots and do a nice indepth RPG game, because they have always worked well for them and people enjoy them. The game as gone super smooth, no problems. OP needs to get a life. |
