Will adventuring be pointless in this game?  What I mean is, in EVE you dont actually have to do anything to gain skills, just log on and fill your que.  Missions are for missions sake (No need to flame.  I am not trying to say EVE's system sucks it just wasnt for me. the rest of the game has the complexity Iike).  Will My game time have an impact on my leveling?  I am downloading the Beta to give it a try but hoping I can get the heads up on this that will be a defenate deal breaker for me.

No, because in the end the study system gives a  very small almost non-noticeable benefit. I believe you would have to reach rank 10 in most skills to notice any impact and that will take weeks. No, the goal of the game, will end up being the end game raiding/dungeon grind. And since those aren't available and we don't know how many they will add... we don't really know what the end will be except hit level 50, and studies to the queue and log out until instances become available?

Thank you for the info.  I am never worried about the end game in any MMO  I am usually in it for the character improvment.  I just want looking forward to watching a timer waiting for a DING.

Also : It's months and years, not weeks starting at ~4 you need 10+ days for one study with marginal impact (if it even works).

Allready hit a snaffo.  I logged on played a little then changed the setting so I wasnt in windowed mode.  The screen bugged out so I logged off but now when I try to logg back on It stayes at the logging screen but the game doesnt start,  just waited 30 mins with not start up.

Oh well so much for being a beta tester

That would be a bug then, and as a Beta tester you would report it. That's sort of the point.
