NcSoft are masters at baiting people.. Once they got you hooked, you off to never neverr grind land . L2 had all kind of quest , and then one day, ncsoft just kept raising the level cap with no new quests except those stupid barter thing wher eyou grind under ground for  1hours to get a party mask lol . Anyone who has lived through L2  knows exactly what Aion is. To deny that Aion is nothing but L2 with wings is idiocy.

Didn't really read it, but from the thread name, I can tell you one factual reason why people bash on Aion. The reason is that dumbasses like you get too defensive about the game, just play your shit and get off the forum, why are you so passionate about this game? is it such a big part of your life that you are willing to open such stupid thread?

PS. I was playing Aion until I realize that there are too many likes of you, bloody idiots who play the game seemingly only to defend it at any cost.

Well besides playing WoW, they don´t seem have anything else to do than troll other games.

Even if I don´t I play Aion, or any fantasy game mmorpg anymore after being bored to death with WoW ( and I can´t stand the current WoW community or mr Ghostcrawler either )  I welcome any new succesfull mmorpg.  If there isn´t any serious competion it will be bad for everyone.

Microsoft didn´t had any serious competion and in the end they made the awful OS Windows Vista. WoW is turning into the mmorpgs equalent of Vista by giving it no meaning of lvling for example a troll shaman to max lvl on a certain realm with faction, race transfers in force. Add to this cross realm battlegrounds and soon cross realm lfg and you will hardly have a chanse to know players outside the guild the way you could in vanilla WoW. I would hate if other mmorpg devs thinks those things will be good ideas just because WoW is big.

Well, if you write up multiple paragraphs of hate on a game (not just Aion), then you obviously have nothing else to do, for you just spent all that time ranting.  That does not count all the posts you make rebutting and replying which can take up even more time.

So yes, haters have nothing else to do.  If they did, they would not be posting.

I like playing Aion, for now. If that makes you itch, it's your problem. Not mine.

Loved the game, hated the bots and cheaters.  Cheaters/botters/gold sellers/goldbuyers > my love for the game so I quit.

I do still check up on the game from time to time.

IMO You have to take into account Aion has emptied the populations of alot these ppls favorite games. Nobody likes playing a MMO by themselves, so they come here to vent their frustrations against the game that killed their fun. The full servers in Aion should speak for themselves. If you enjoy an extremly polished, stable, & populated MMO you will likely enjoy Aion, if you enjoy buggy, half-finished attempts at an MMO, Aion isn't for you.

If you don't want to read all of this just skip to the last three lines.

Both fanboys and haters a re needed. They are like two sides of the same coin. Before I play any mmo i look at reviews from both sides because most of the time they are both right in a sense.

Lets take Aion as an example:
Fanboys: Awesome graphics. Intense Pvp. Flight time is amazing.
Haters: Wow clone. Gank fest. Don't  use flight for anything.

If you take both into account with a little research you'll find that Aion does have wonderful graphics with similarities to WoW. Also until later levels or unless you are in a group you will be attacked by the opposite faction (quest even reward you for doing so but i think it does make sense because there is a rivalry...). Flight (unless gathering or running away) is usually just a faster mode of transportation.

I am almost lvl 40 and a rank 5 abyss soldier. I have played alot of Aion these past weeks and I will not be renewing my subscription. Not because its not an awesome game (I wouldn't have leveled as high as i did if it wasn't) but because it seems unfinished. A few more polishes here and there and maybe i will come back to it.

Just remember that not everyone likes the same thing. Just because someone doesn't like it doesn't me you won't and just because someone does like it doesn't me you will. Play the game for yourself because only you know what you like.

If you want to play Aion, play it.  I have had it since BETA and I won't lie, there were some issues however they have been sorted or are in the process of being sorted and my experience so far has been very positive.  I've played other big MMO's before, even the mighty WoW and feel my enjoyment from the P2P arena comes from Aion.  I like it, and it seems to get me a lot of negative attention from Aion Hate Trolls.

Give it a chance and make your own mind up, Aion is certainly worth that to anyone.  There are many very happy players in the Aion world, I know this as I play the game with them regularly.

Well..

For starters... L2 has never been about questing. Quests in that game are basically an excuse to kill a bunch of mobs that you'd be killing anyway... you  just get some extra reward for it. The only meaningful quests are class change, sub-class, noble, etc.. other than that, and some others I'm sure I'm forgetting... quests are not a reason people play L2.

That said... In my *opinion* (just emphasizing that for those who might think I'm "speaking fact" - I'm not)....

Aion doesn't begin to touch L2 in a number of ways. To say Aion is L2 with wings is to insult L2. I'd say it's closer to WoW with Wings, with a bit more focus on PvP... but that's about it.

Here are some facts that support my opinion:

1. L2 is factionless... Your enemies aren't pre-determined. It's entirely player driven and quite dynamic.
2. PvP is much more open and unrestricted
3. The world is much broader and wide open... even from level 1 in your starting areas, is wide open. Aion seems to funnel you where it wants you to go next, at least up to level 20 or so (as far as I got before I got bored - it might change later).
4. More races, each with its own starting area and the ability to teleport to a different starting area if you want.
5. More numerous class choices.

That's just a few I can think of off the top of my head.. I could easily list more reasons if I spent more time.

In all, and again in my opinion, L2 is a superior MMO to Aion... by far.

Oh dear.  Stop using Xfire stats, they don't matter.  Stop bashing Aion, no one care about your opinion.

This is the Aion forum, the last thing players want to see is immature bashing of their game that they enjoy.

Go back to the WoW forum and discuss something constructive there for the game you like.

You say the game is ridicuoulsy lame and don't give any reasons why. Then say the game is dying based on Xfire stats, personally, I don't know one person who uses Xfire.

I don't think Aion is crap, it would be an extremely fun game, but the community and bots kill it for anyone who isn't into shock pedobear names and rampant cheating. NCsoft, has shown tme and again that it's Korean audience is the only one that matters to them so the western market is basically left to rot. If Ncsoft actually stared to give a damn about the western market beyond the initial box sales, the game would have a hell of a lot more people playing.
