im on free trial and about to purchase game. and before i start on a character i want to know a good realm or whatever, cause in a previous game i picked the wrong one and i figured out about a month later.dont want to repeat that

i'd first get a realm that fits your timezone, which you can find here

Someone's never played WoW before?  It seems like everyone on planet Earth has at some point in time played the game.  It seems like babies are being born that have played WoW.

My advice: thottbot.  It's really helpful if you're stuck on something.  Aside from that, just get in the grove and enjoy the game.  I had fun with it for 8 months or so when it first released.

Times have not been better for WoW, there is alot of content, both pve and pvp to suit all tastes.

Find yourself a good guild, pref a leveling one, as a decent one will help you out and you'll quickly make new friends.

For information, the official WoW forum is a great place to start; esp for race/class/spec info. Have fun!
