Tier 10 armor will be introduced to World of Warcraft as part of the upcoming 3.3 patch, and Blizzard is offering fans a sneak peek of the new sets in the Under Development section of the game's official website.

Blizzard has been slowly updating this section in recent weeks and the listing is now complete with images of the Tier 10 sets for all of the game's classes.

Check out the snazzy new sets here!

generic generic generic. with every tier inclusion it becomes more and more apparent how badly blizzard could use the team that created T2.

Well i guess this is just how WoW lives on, they think since the first set of armor was loved why change it, all the wow items look and color the same.. BLAH

I have to agree with the previous two posters. Good grief, you'd think they could come up with some new interesting looking armor. It really does all look the same...bland, boring, generic.  Blech.

To be fair since wow's launch blizzard has had to create far more armor than any other MMO.

22 armor sets x 9 classes = 198 sets

but wait there 10 classes with the DK in TBC well I have left those numbers out to account for the times when blizzard sometimes recolours or makes minor changes to set and calls it a PVP sets. cheeky.

198 different sets of armour (8 peices a sets 1584 peices)... THATS A LOT DONT YA THINK in 5 years.  We then have to add in the 100's of peices of gear added in the expansions and content patches.

I think the new sets look realy nice, note sure about the horn on the hunters helm or the palladin neck brace though, but he warlock look like kinda mean.

So i guess the fact that Blizzard has over 5K employees and makes over 164million a month in subs (11mil x $14.95) not including account character services just from World of Warcraft alone is not enough to pay artists for new art?

Natural Selection for the win!

So Blizzard gets a buy on it? No. They've used extensive recoloring schemes since BC for PvE/PvP arena season suits. Not to mention the architecture of the [WoLK] armor is identical. The only difference are the trim and frills from one class to the next. Exceptions? Rogue class last armor suit? One or two class unique pieces that don't fit the platform architecture of the tier. Blizzard has had time, market dominance and experience that no other company has. They don't get off on a buy.

Generic is nothing short of the truth. Compare *any* current armor suit to T1. It's not that they don't look sweet, it's that they don't put in the time and effort anymore. Hell, compare any current suit to anything from BC, which even BC suits paled in comparison to classic's. Line up T1, T2, T3 class-by-class, and against themselves. There is lore representation, there is immediately apparent effort involved, and they all look absolutely fabulous and well crafted.

Partially, if we want to look into the whole 'they've had so many items they've needed to put out' and 'running out of ideas' etc, it's their own fault. They've designed a game that revolves around itemization (which was self-admitted), and introduced a high-turnover rate for content and gearing.

I sincerely feel Blizzard is just riding the wave here. With the time, experience, resources, and ingenuity *any* gamer knows they possess, they truly fall short of the potential we know they have. They've demonstrated it in the past. Pity that it's past tense. :(

Well the setting of the armor is the raiding of the lich kings base.  So it's based around enemys that are in the base/his minions.  So it really sort of make sense to do that.  But I guess people who have no idea about WoW, might not understand what they are doing.

But by all means, get a group of friends and create tons of new armor every few months that everyone in the world likes and lemme know how it goes!  Since everyone's tastes are exactly the same and all :P.

....

The only time it was acceptable for generic armor was for what I'll dub "trash sets"....the armor you got from drops, quests, or crafting. And for T9, which supposedly was suppose to look alike to give the impression of a formal army...not just a bunch of Mercs-for-Hire.

We all assumed that T9 was also so similar so that more time could be spent on T10 content...that INCLUDED the armor.

For those out there that are still blind...in the blunt and to the point words of Riley (Boondocks) quit dick-riding. We gave Blizzard a chance to redeem themselves with T10; they failed....though I'll credit them with maintaining the vision of Paladins (we wear robes clad in armor plating)

It's a fair bet now that Cata-armor will be just as un-inspired...truly WoW has reached it's production life limit and is now in idle mode.

If it contains the words video and game, it must be a WOW clone.

What I find funny is people are making claims that blizzard was ever at some point "creative". Warcraft= Warhammer, Starcraft= 40k not much of an argument to make against this.

I'll give you that diablo for its time was an accomplishment. Outside of their gameplay not much was creative, tales on swords and sorcery are centuries old.

WOW of course really didn't do anything new, they just had more money to throw in the pot. As well as a popular Warhammer ripoff to boot.

No I am not making a claim that GW (games workshop) was in some way more creative, though they did develop their own vision of those old fantasy worlds. You can not say that about blizzard.

Before the commment is made that I am a WOW hater, nope have nothing against the game or the company, remember this is my opinion feel free to disagree.

If you can't argue the point don't say anything at all.

Hmm, I was under the impression that Blizzard passed up the opportunity to do a Warhammer game and went and made their own 'version'. Then again I think Starcraft and Warcraft (the RTSs) came out before Blizzard lost it's path so WC / SC could be tributes to the games the original devs loved.

first two posts are spot on

As for the armour...the hood needs something more...its too basic and bland

I think Bliz needs to take a look at the thousands of RPG games out there with varied and pretty armour....

I just think its a hoot that there us "tier 10" sets. When does grinding for gear get old?  It seems as if the whole MMORPG genre took this turn toward foolishness, vanity and greed. Long gone are the old days when what you did had some impact in the game or being a true theif, stealing that shiny armor that some supposed "carebear" showed off as he/she hung out at the bank all day and socialized.

Forgive my rant, its quite off topic and this is the first thread i clicked on. I've just lost all faith in MMORPG's.

You know....I've played BOTH games (WoW since release) and I completely agree with this statement.  I don't care if Blizzard has to design 18 THOUSAND sets of armor, I would at least like the different CLASSES to have sets that are very different from each other. EVEN if that means recycling an older set and changing the colors and the design only a LITTLE. But having all the classes look this similar....not for me.

What the really need to do is bring in armor dying...most of that armor i think would look much better: Black with white trim or Black and gold trim

**Trim being the outter edges to add definition to the armor so it doesn't look like a black mass of moving around

IE:

the paladin t10...

take the dark navy blue...turn it black

take the metal trim thats something like a white-gold color and turn it either white or a rich gold

change the colors of the other colors (purples, and tans) to shades of dark-grey

....and lose the helm....seriously -_-'

Well I am not sure why I bother to put this together, slow day in work I guess. This is druid set from the first dungeon set to Teir 10, most PVP sets have been removed as they are mostly recolours.

16 unqiue sets per class so thats 9x16 = 144 sets (8 peices/set = 1152 peices) - and ive not even added the DK sets.

Each set looks different for me.

On to some of the comments, ultimately comments for and against the new T10 and past sets are subjective and personal, there is no correct answer.  For me T10 looks good, thats all that matters.  Out of all the sets however T8 was my fav.

Shaman looks like something from AoC.  Very apt for a northrend set though.

Druid sets:
