I just checked his post history and: LMAO He has spent all of his posts talking about how GREAT WoW is, and the past several weeks trolling nothing but WAR threads. See for yourself. If the WoW Fanboi shoe fits... lol too funny...seriously :D He truly IS a WoW fanboi...case closed! |

It's funny how you chose to check his history yet I'm the one you called a WoW-fanboy.
I guess it's easier to do the ones that "Jive" with your own argument?
Also, last I looked (1 hour ago or so) I *was* talking about the numbers, just not in the way you seem to want to hear. There's nothing wrong with my argument, which seems to be enforced by the fact that you didn't point out anything wrong with them to begin with, instead you went on the fanboi assault rather than continue to discuss it.
You still didn't answer the basic question either. Do you believe the game currently has 300k Subs? And if so, how do you justify that comparing today to the game over 6 months ago?
Or are you just here to 'troll'?

Your 207 pages of history say otherwise. Would you like me to quote actual things you've said? lol |

Go right ahead. A 207 page history of posting almost exclusively here with a few rare outsteps to the WoW forum and maybe the Aion forum a few times. Don't forget to link those posts where I actually recommend people to play WAR so they can see for themselves whether they like it. Or how I never say WAR sucks or some such similar things. Heck I highly doubt I even said WoW was 'GREAT' in any of those threads you speak of from the last few months, although I may have said I liked the concept of Cataclysm (redoing the old world).
Ow I'm sorry? Did I miss you actually talking about WAR and what we were talking about? What was it again? Ow yeah, the question about subs.
Ow. No I didn't miss it
Did you have any more trolling to do or are you ready to actually discuss the topic you were making such adamant claims about before you went on your fanboy assault?

I rejoined war about a month ago and have been having a blast. You people write off mmo's after one year and that is just dumb. Do some research in to what Warhammer is and you'll see that there is plenty of room for expansion and improvement. Some of you just sound like spoiled kids who got in to the genre through wow and think you know what you're talking about. Go back to your lame ass xbox. |

Of course the IP leaves plenty of room for expansions and such. But without a company behind it, the game won't expand into any direction. If not even the original stuff was able to pull of a decent game (way before the recent lay offs and things) , how should the remains be? Yes, some warhammer-fans still hope that the Bioware guys will take over and make it the promised game...but i doubt that it'll ever happen. |

Is WAR dying? Yes, WAR began dying some time ago. I think this has been a discussion ongoing since its release.
I don't think they should make it Free to Play. I think that would just kind of ruin what they have worked so hard for. I think, like DAoC, it should just stay the path and cater to the hardcore fans who stuck around.
I like WAR, but I think it caters to a specific group of people. Those who like really like PvP and the world of Warhammer. The lore and warhammer are a big selling point I think. I just hope enough of the hardcore fanbase sticks around. I tend to play weird hours and it would suck if no one was on around those hours. But, last night at like 2AM it was going pretty good on Gorfang, I think, and I was pleased.
Until something better comes along... im going to be playing Warhammer. But, so far WoW and WAR are the better MMOs for what I am looking for. |

Warhammers first anniversary came and went with all the fanfaire of a fart and the net result is that "there is still plenty of room for expansion and improvement". Well no shit? That is the reason people left the game in the first place and now mythic is about 1/3 the size of what they started with. Sorry friend, things are not going to get better for warhammer. The second year is not going to come anywhere close to what the first year delivered and the first year wasn't enough to resolve the games issues.
I'm have grown very tired of the merry-go round of developers rushing unfinished games to market just to watch them crash and burn. Even more tired of hearing people like yourself blame everyone else for not rushing with their wallets wide open to save some company from their own mistakes.

This.
Game developers have gotten progressively lazier over the years. Either that, or they're relying on the fanbois to generate enough "buzz" about their game that they'll be able to recoup the development costs and scurry back into their hidey-holes where they start planning out their next little foray into the MMO market.
Stop blaming the players for the crappy games. If you like a game, good. Go play it. If you've played it and don't like it, then come here and tell people why. That's why these sites exist in the first place. It's called "feedback". Sometimes it's postive, sometimes it's negative. |

You missed the main reason to blame players. They do keep paying off developers of crap/unfinished/buggy games so more game companies keep rushing a launch knowing that players will pay them while they work on finishing the game over then next 1-2 years. I do blame players for that. I thought the article speak with your wallet was dead on, players complain but then they pay the company anyways which never changes anything.
War was so bad at launch that I relate it to Vanguard, no matter how many people show up over the years saying "This game is all fixed now and it's amazing!!!" I will never in my life try either game again. MMOs have one shot with me, if I try it and it is full of bugs and balance issues then I am gone and won't be back once it is working properly, they had their chance. |

Not surprised its happening. Way too many races are seperated on the servers with too few players. Worst use of an IP ive ever seen in an MMO. (AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH dances with Dark elf Sorceress) Everyone on MMORPG.com before every thread put the letters IMO as you and I dont speak for the gaming community or anyone else. Playing: SWTOR, Eve Online, and World of Tanks. |

Well, I don't like themeparks but I loved WAR since CB. The best PvP game ever, for me, and the funniest at the same time. It's a High Quality game that will be alive for long as many people is coming to WAR. Your Man from The Euroland news: EU Karak-Norn is crowded. Yes, crowded. |

Heaven forbid that some of the executive types that made bad decisions would end up out on the street. |

the game isn't dying in any sense. Yes EA laid off 1/3 of mythic. Why you ask? Cause EA as a whole is losing money because half of the games they force the developers to release early are crap and end up selling poorly. They need to learn you can't penny pinch games. WAR right now is a great game and most of what turned people off has been fixed. T4 still needs some work but the rest of the game is more than enough to keep your attention for a month or two. |
