I find the Open RVR the best PvP in any current MMO, with the exception of AoC.

My first MMO was UO, and no MMO will ever match up to it's PvP in my opinion.

Saying the game is souless or crap is just one person's opinon, as it is my opinion that is anything but.

However, at least you gave it a try and explained why you didn't like it, and even mentioned what you did like about it.

Haters just wait for games they don't like or have never tried just to say, this game is X is Y.

As if they are such huge MMO experts that they don't even have to try an MMO to know it sucks.

All they have to do is listen to others who play their favorite MMO and see what they say so it can be parroted.

Please don't tell me that people on the MMORPG.com forums don't talk nonsense about games they don't know or have never tried. Especially when it's painfully obvious that it happens nearly every 2 minutes.

More layoffs??! Sad times for any business...Sad for the employees, I wonder how long this financial crisis will last.

EA makes a lot of shovelware Wii games and too many multiplatform games. and i hate multiplatform. They should have focus on other fields. Yea I know they got Dead Space and Mirror Edge as new IP. But they really sucked. I never tried ME, but Dead Space was junk. They should have focus more and multiplayer.

But I guess that The Mythic employees never saw it coming,..........even at this points, otherwise they would have flee a long time ago.

BTW, if anyone is reading this and hasn't tried Warhammer Online yet...download it and play the trial.

The trial is free to play infinately, and is a great great time.

Give it a try. You don't have to sub if you don't want to.

It doesn't really matter if the game has what you think is the best PVP on the market, what matters is the fact that not enough people are willing to pay for the game other wise they wouldn't be laying close to half there staff off.

EA is laying off TONS of people, Mythic has to be one of them.

There is also this thing called 'the economy' which you should wiki.

EA is one of the largest gaming companies in the world, and downsizing in a recession doesn't mean the company is failing, just that it's trying to prevent failing.

If WAR was a failure, they would have fired everyone and put a stop to the game.

The FACTS are that many people play it and many are coming back.

Although there are many articles talking about this, you only seem to be able to focus on a single negative.

I'm glad you're not a reviewer, or you'd probably get on WAR, play with the character creator for 2 hours and then give it a negative review.

You obviously wouldn't know a good game or RVR if it jumped up and bit you on the rear.

Also, if you get on and post your point of view, you should probably be prepared for others to present an alternative point of view, (especially those who are more informed than yourself).

What still remains though is that the company has been suffering several waves of layoffs already in the last year or so (excluding MJ himself). It *has* simply shrunk and shrunk. Smaller team = less results. It's that simple.

Also, if you believe WAR has 300k subs, as you implied somewhere above, you have got to be off your rocker.

Do you remember War? Over 6 months ago? You know, waves of server mergers back? *That* was 300k.

It's funny to see how some fans still lives in the "300k era", when simple maths tells that they're far from those numbers today!

If you have more current sub numbers, please post them with your source, otherwise keep your opinions stated as facts where they belong, which is in your own mind.

People have been quoting WoW's 11 mil subs for how long now? That seems to be good enough.

If 300,000 was the most recent number, then it stands until some new numbers are given.

It's funny how you hate WAR enough that you feel the need to troll the game's forums.

What MMO do you play?

War is a great game, It didn't hold me for a entire year but I came back about two months ago and I'm having a blast. I have characters on Phoenix Throne and Badlands which are both low pop servers. Badlands server is better than Phoenix Throne because of populations. I started a new character on Iron Rock and that server is crazy busy, if your looking for action try Dark Craig or Iron Rock. I have fun on even the lower population servers. The PvP in War is fun as hell, and better than any other game I've played.

Arguing with these people is a war of futility, they know there right and post just to raise post count. I couldn't care less if the games dying, I'm having fun right now, this game is not what I live for and not worth arguing about.

The silence from EA in itself is a sign they don't want to release the latest numbers. Empirical evidence by countless actual players who've actually lived through the last 6 months is proof enough for them (and for me) that this game is nowhere near where it was back over half a year ago.

Unless of course you are one of those dreamers hoping there's some foreign country somewhere where they released the game and the pop is thriving, explaining the subs 'still' being at 300k even now despite what happened in the US/EU?

If the game still had 300k subs you can bet Mythic wouldn't have been hit anywhere near as bad as they have been.
