If you quit, nows the time to get an NA account for FREE. You do not need an active EU account and you DO NOT need an active NA subscription to finish the transfer! You can sit on your old, dusty Darkfall character until you feel the game is ready for your return (to the lower ping NA server). The developers have done more good for their game compared to any other MMO I have seen. They had a troubled start, but they are making up for their past mistakes. What other developer has made their niche market happy?

I tried to get into this game, but it really is lacking in the production value department. The animations and sounds in combat are really low quality and it just feels like playing Morrowind on the PS1, except since its a sandbox theres nothing to guide you to what to do next. |

Originally posted by Legato89 Darkfall's graphics are not that bad. Their engine is dumbed down to allow 1000+ player sieges. Not many games on the market can handle those numbers. Example: WAR bogs down with just 100 players in one area. I get 5 FPS during fortress raids in WAR while 200 man sieges in Darkfall I hit 80 FPS. I can aim and kill people with a bow without a problem during a siege. Nobody is going to be able to build a "pretty" Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG, where thousands of players can interact in the same area, not server) until quantum computing becomes a reality. Now single player games, or MMO's that pretend they are massive ( with awesome graphics) you can play now if you want. Just don't play with more than 30 players on the screen, if you want to keep max eyecandy settings enabled. Whats the most common troubleshooting step to enable anyone in any game to play in raids with over 30 players? TURN DOWN THE GRAPHICS! "James T Kirk was a great man, but that was another life." |

Lineage 2 did it back in 2003. It also looks significantly better than Darkfall. Darkfall looks bad because it's a low budget mmorpg made by amateurs. |
