So I have an HP-Pavilion RX885AA-ABA a6000n. I haven't been a massive computer gamer. Most of the mmo's I play run just fine, but lately I've noticed that games like Oblivion don't run too well on my computer. Everything else on my computer runs fine except for a long loading process. From what I gather, my computer is capable of being upgraded, but I really haven't the slightest clue how to go about it. Any thing in specific I should post to get more accurate help? |

So what you should have now is: CPU: Athlon 64 X2 4200+

What you listed is exactly what I have still. Although I haven't done any upgrades on my computer at all, so I'm not sure if there is another video card installed.
If you need more information, I can try to find some if you want.
Otherwise, thanks a ton for the help, and I'll consider the upgrades. They seem to be a lot cheaper than I actually expected ^^ |

Well, anything more would require a new mobo, CPU and most likely a power supply, you could definitely spend a lot more on upgrades if you wanted to. It depends on what games you are wanting to play and what resolution your monitor is, and how much you want to spend of course.

Nope, I'm running on the geforce, I tried oblivion to check how smooth it runs. After, and just before it loads up there's a bit of lag. Otherwise on minimal graphics the game can run somewhat smooth. I'm also using a NEC MultiSync 1740CX, which constantly demands I run/play anything at 1280 x 1024. I just figured that out by using Belarc advisor, my friend sent me a link so I could figure out more about my computer. |

If its an HP, you need a PSU as well. |

Hm, I think it would still handle a 4670.. |
