This thread is just for people who played the classic and can't really believe where Blizzard took this game.. What I'm referring to is the total sell out of all principles Blizzard had with WoW and the fact they sold it all for money: transfer from PVE to PVP (this is like the least of the sell out), paying more to get triple exp ("invite a friend"), transforming your character to another faction or race (WTF?).. and this is just from the top of my head. Do you think it's OK Blizzard to sell out the principles which normal players rely on just to attract more newbs to the game and get more money? I mean.. money is money but they were very rich and very successful before that.. are they counting on the fact that there isn't something else to replace WoW?
World of Warcraft is a proof that MMORPG quality should affect schedule/budget and not the other way around. |

I don't think they sold out anything. The game plays exactly the same unless I missed something. |

If by 'sell out' you mean make the game better and add more options and neat additional features that players wanted, then the answer is 'yes'. |

fail poll is fail ( to use a WoW forum meme )
It's a double-bind question. Both answers make Blizzard look bad.

Yours is not the path of force, though force is often needed to clear the path. |
Companies are about making money, i think people are just stupid for thinking otherwise, i keep hearing "blizzard sold out, they aren't about the gamer anymore!" i swear people scream sell out for every little thing. I hope blizzard makes so much money they can swim in it, making money is not evil. Does anyone against this work for free?, apparently money is bad so you should, do you ask for a raise?, well hell that is greed, you want more money greedy bastards, how dare you want more money!
We are all ignorant until truth is revealed to us.. However.. How do we know the truth is not in fact a lie.. "When a man has lost everything, he may despair and die. He might give his soul to the fate's... or, he can resolve to take action." "The great thing about human language is that it prevents us from sticking to the matter at hand." |
