So its time for a brake again. Been playing LotrO for the last year since a month or two before MoM. Getting bored with instances, dices not rolling my way, screaming in LFF channel for classes that you absolutly MUST have to complete the instance. The race for good/top of the line gear and weapons are getting old. Wouldnt it just be easier if it was more casual? Buying stuff from crafters? Getting rid of the class system that keeps new players from interacting with veterans?

I forsee that with games with class system the grind to top level and top gear is just getting longer and longer. Old instances and quests beeing worthless. New players quiting long before they even reach the "end game zones"

With more expansions in the pipeline this problem is just gonna get worse.

Just hope that the skill system of Star Trek Online will solve a bit of this problem for me. Maybe there i can pick up some newbie in the future and taking him/her exploring the galaxy?

MMORPG Character Monuments

...When its time for your character to take a well deserved rest...

Sounds like you're suffering from a bit of MMO burnout. Take a few weeks off and enjoy a FPS or strategy game to get back your strength. If you want to try out a classless system, take a look at Darkfall. However understand that Darkfall has issues that many players from mainstream MMOs took for granted. Still, you'll not find many other games with a real sense of 'danger'.

Good Luck

Before Moria LOTRO was a fantastic game but its slowly gone down hill since Moria's release imo. I left for similar reasons mostly because LOTRO had taken a direction I had hoped it wouldn't

I wish you the best Hauken!! Hope you find what your looking for.

get Borderlands if you like FPS, and get a few friends/guildies to play it with you. its more fun than most MMOs out there right now.

Yeah, i might do that. Gonna give Heroes of might and magic III and Jedi knight II a try again. Those two games always kept me ibusy a good while. Old games, but good ones.
