To be or not to be.

I was just curious about the environment settings of the games that are released nowadays (MMO's). Most of the MMO's today has an Asian environments setting like Perfect World, Zhu Xian Online, Tantra, etc. Is there any other game that is NEW that has a different environment setting? Like for example, An MMO which is based in New York or California something like that because up until now I still haven't encountered one.

It is unfortunate that a lot of MMOs nowadays use the whole anime thing as their art style. There isn't anything coming to mind though for a modern urban MMO outside of Crimecraft... Which I almost do not consider an MMO. However; APB (All Points Bulletin) is in beta and should be out in spring of next year or there about.

Fallen Earth, well not really just a MMO, but more a  true MMORPG atleast for me it is currently.

It'd be cool if there was a sea based environment MMO where you mostly spend your time on huge ships serving as towns. Diving for monsters and stuff, under water cities and lost cities and yea.. I'd like to see how far that would go.

Quite frankly at this point anything not asian is good for me. The pseudo anime style so many mmos especially free ones are going for just looks generic now. I mean even though Aion technically is one of the best looking mmos out there, maybe only surpassed in graphics by AoC, I would still choose something like WoW or maybe War. The first being a nice colorful place, the second a semi realistic dark setting.
