I had the opportunity to check this out a few weeks back, and it is a disaster currently.

Should be interesting to see the negative feedback pile in if they are going to go to Open Beta on the 11th, I'll never understand why developers think pushing the product out too early is a good idea.

If you are running out of business capitol to work on the project, then take another loan or find more financing any way you possibly can, because pushing the product out early does nothing but make all the money the company has previously spent a complete waste - if your product isn't ready, you don't show it off and then expect people to pay for it, just because you need the cash to continue.

Plenty of ways to go about it without dooming your project right off the bat due to poor financial planning and rushed sales/marketing attempts.

Can you please give us more details on your expert finance course of action for this company to obtain more funding?  Do you honestly think the world of finance is that straight forward? You give the impression you're somebody whose only ever been given money, never been out in the real world and earned it to pay your own bills and put roof over your head, still at home with mom and dad by any chance?

Grats to the devs for reaching OB!  Screenies and vids look great.

Best of luck for launch.

One man, a small pile of money, and the screwball idea of a DIY Indie MMORPG? Yep, that's him. ~sigh~

I congratulate the devs for managing to create the worst WoW clone ever. And i don't really mind that its a WoW clone. I can live with that. I do mind that it's the worst and above all they want us to pay money for it.

It's like a game made by some wow hardcore student game developpers. At first I even believed it was a scam, seeing the names and graphics so close from wow.

Then I tried the beta. Graphics were horrible for a 2010 game. Nothing new in the gameplay/interface.

You're better going Runes of Magic, at least it's free.

For me no reason to leave wow for this game.

If they are out of funding and time, then it's better to just stop the project and shelf it till better times. Instead of rushing it out of the door and make a complete fool out of themselves.

They are going to get such an amount of bad press coming november 11th and onwards, that it will even make Aventurine and Darkfall look good! As at least Aventurine tried to be unique and different with Darkfall. At least I have to give them credit for that.

Alganon is such a turd of a game, with pretty much everything resembling like an EXACT copy from WoW. Up till whole user interface, Character creation screen and whole art direction. But than 100 times worse.

The moment I downloaded the beta client a while ago, installed it and by logging in and playing a little... it really felt like I was playing an early beta client of WoW.

Cheers

Is this game just a solo fest of doing pointless quests ?

is there any combat mechanics outside of the normal spam your best dmg icon?

Is there any content outside the box,did the creator actually create a game?or is it just copycat 101?

Be honest,if you don't know because you only did the superficial part or you just don't know, then say so lol.

I was in the closed beta and I'll simply state that I hope the game has come a long way in the last few weeks. Feature-wise, I saw nothing new, and the features that were in the game did not have half the polish of MMORPGs released in the last two years. I have to echo previous statements above that a company trying to go the "indie" route needs to at least have a solid product during beta, otherwise they stand little chance at gaining momentum and interest.

I don't see this game lasting halfway through 2010 in its current state, although I wish the development team all the best on their endeavour.
