Don't get this game if you don't like PvP. I found out game was forced PvP and it was the biggest reason I didn't play it long. 

sadly I screwed up as well. All was going fine til i hit 22 and went to elthen on elyos side. Ganked by a mob of asmos. This happened 4 times throughout the day so i had no choice but to log out. Teams were not happening at that level. Many players at that level want their quest done and once it is they quit. Did I lie? I think not.

I used to pvp alot in other games COX, Wow, GW etc but when I got to level 32 I started getting missions sending me into the abyss. I still have them but I was doing a mob kill x mission in elthen and ganked again as teams don't exist most times unless its an instance or you bring a real life friend in game with you.

Pvp is fine but Gank squad PVP  isn't much fun, especially when you are fighting NPC mobs at the same time. I'm gone as well form Aion. One less cleric to get ganked.

Many players wants EZ-mode play. Why else do you think WoW was such a huge success? It took the word "easy" to a new (lower) level in MMORPGs.

Personally I got tired of playing against an AI when I was 15...

Actually I would think 'PvPers', if you can put all those people in one cathegory, wants both battlegrounds and open PvP.

Battlegrounds = Practice

Open PvP = The real thing

WAR used this concept, unfourtanetely their battlegrounds was more fun (and had more PvP) than the "real" PvP.

I think Aion could use Battlegrounds to complement the real thing. Sometimes you just want to log on for 30 min and bash in some skulls, and not AI skulls.

I'm a person that likes to play alts. I have found this to be a problem now in the 20 to 30 areas for lots of people like to gank and I'm behind the curve. I wish Aion could take a page from warhammer and make it so the pvp in rift areas is level restricted. We have the abyss for 25 to 50 pvp for those who like to gank. This imho would have made aion a much better game for those looking for fair pvp in the game while leveling.

well i am not a pvp person at all never have never really will the pvp in aion seemed at least different but as stated before it is very focused on pvp. Unless you want to grind out tons of mobs (which you will anyway) then youll have to go to the abyss and get ganked constantly. Youll definitly want to find a group and if you dont really know anyone that will be somewhat hard to do.

everytime i walked out into the abyss it didnt take long to get attacked by 3-4 asmodians well above my lvl. Even out of the abyss your still going to get ganked just not as much but for my comp along with other issues made it near impossible to do anything when asmodians came around. Just because of the fact the game would just freeze up and by the time i unfroze from the lag id be dead and back at my spot and since i had to set my obelisk outside of ettin fortress since the fortress is so lagged out i would end up way away from where i  was.  It would make it not very fun to have to run back over and over especially when im just trying to get quests done.

Yes sadly it's a lot pvp oriented game then I expected and will be the reason I will not continue on playing the game later on.

Today when I was in the abyss there was an elyos passing waved at me and didn't attack me lol I was prepared if he/she attacked I would attack back but he didn't he probably knew I was lower level then him/her. But after few minutes a group of 3 elyos all ranged were camping the path to reach the top right of the abyss so I couldn't keep on questing and went back in morhreim.

I got payed till 17th november so still plenty of time to decide we will see.

OMG it is FORCED! YOu are forced to do pve and pvp! you are forced to kill a lot and you are forced into leveling up. ANd if you aren't having fun at a point you are forced to quit! I loved these words wow players use to make everything sound awful... being negative must be exhilerating.
