BOOMER SOONER

11/02/09 11:31:56 PM#26

SWTOR most likely. Bioware= EPIC WIN in my book. Other wise I want a Elder Scrolls, 40k mmos damit. At least I know the 40k one is coming. Gonna have to wait till E3 to hear anything about Bethesda's new game most likly(better be ES5 or mmo)

Hold on Snow Leopard, imma let you finish, but Windows had one of the best operating systems of all time.

If the Powerball lottery was like Lotro, nobody would win for 2 years, and then everyone in Nebraska would win on the same day.
And then Nebraska would get nerfed.-pinkwood lotro fourms

Oh, I voted Aion as well. I enjoy the art design and pvp of Aion. And as I don't really need to find another game to dedicate myself to, then besides some other games that I use as 30 minute before bedtime mmo's, Aion is it.

Dunno if I agree with the suggestions in the poll. WoW and LortO seem pretty stable, the others are too new or too stale to care about. EvE has it's own culture, I respect that and predict it will be strong in two years time. It seems to me mmos are falling apart in the last few years. FFA, or FTP...doesn't seem to matter...quality/ideas are suffering...

Played (more than a month): SWG, Second Life, Tabula Rasa, Lineage 2, Everquest 2, EvE, MxO, Ryzom.

Tried: WoW, Shadowbane, Anarchy Online, Everquest, WWII Online, Planetside

Beta: Lotro, Tabula Rasa, WAR.

SWTOR is the only unreleased MMO you got on that list...

Hopefully FE still as well as World of Darkness Online. The Secret World look interesting but I'm not going to jump onboard with Funcom day 1 again. I'll wait and see the reviews (which waiting may cause me not to play it). Aside from that nothing off the top of my head that is coming up really looks all that good to me.

Asheron's Call. The one open world, classless progression, live team content oriented game that ALL game sites and developers show little respect for as a template to pattern future MMOs after.

LotRO, GW2, Elder Scrolls Online

I use skooma so that I can work harder and longer and make more money so I can buy more skooma. I don't see a problem.

Just hope it will be a different title from those I am currently subbing.  Which means, there are better choices 2 years down the road.

Only in mmo's can the future affect the past.

11/03/09 1:41:31 AM#39

It certainly won't be any i'm currently playing or have available to me at this time. I'm lucky if any of these mmo's can hold my interest for a month, so two years is out of the question.

So whatever the flavor of the month may be 2 years from now, I guess i'll be playing that.. or be stuck with kids and not be able to play any at all lol.

Pretty sure I will be in Guild Wars 2. The more I read, the more innovative and different the game seems... Everything else seems to be a same old same old. As long as it brings what it promises, it will be a sure winner. If not, then somebody is going to get a hurt real bad.

Star Wars: The Old Republic.  I'm hoping it'll be THAT good that I'll still be playing it by then.

Simply too far ahead and too many variables in-between to make any realistic prediction, I'll let you know in two years.

EVE Online.

I'm sure I'll venture to check out SWTOR...but I don't see it having the lasting appeal to me that the sandbox and dark universe of EVE has.

Played: WoW, Lotro, AoC, WAR, Guild Wars.
Playing now: EVE Online

What I think I will be playing mmowise is SWTOR (Bioware have not let me down so far) and at least dipping in and out of LotRo (Lifetime account).

If they have been released and are good Funcom's Secret World and CCP's World of Darkness, as I love modern horror stories.

Depending on how Incarna works in EvE and if it is ever released, I may be back taking a look there as well.

Of course, this may all fall flat as mmo's have for me right now and I will instead be playing the latest DLC for Dragon Age and Mass Effect 3 instead. ;)
