I think he made his point. An ad is an ad - it doesn't provide facts and figures. HE said himself it wasn't being used as an informative media, which, at first I thought he was. Hence my initial agreement with GL.

He was simply trying to draw in others to his site at the end. That should be the focus - whether that was effective or not.

 

It certainly drove gameloading and sepher into attack mode -- thus it was pretty effective :)

Yes well, screw them its nothing new for lefties to attack.  I would be more concerned with how effective it would be to get more people active that agree with the statements being made.  I would rather see the right attack and start to make a difference and I didn't get the feeling from the vid to do just that. 

I will say that the Pink Floyd kinda kills my drive to do anything. 

 

No need to be dismissive. The debt is America's problem, not the right or the left. I merely suggest you offer solutions rather than lobbing complaints as if the complaints themselves are somehow partisan. We ALL have an interest in eliminating the debt. We simply disagree about how to do it. So why not devote some of your effort into bringing up solutions that you yourself support?

How about starting with the current hot topic, health care reform, Zind? If you believe what's currently pitched won't help curtail the costs of our entitlement programs and thus control our yearly deficits and create something sustainable, what do you propose? Drop Medicare and Social Security all together? Do something else?

Don't try and associate a common problem all Americans share as something specific to ideology or this party or that party. If you have any desire at all to be respectful, then understand its all of our concerns.

How about a genuine debate on the solutions for your site, Zind? Just a tip.

Well I apologize for your feeling attacked by my saying I wouldn't take you serious whenever facts and figures are secondary here, but quite honestly I thought that was a perfectly reasonable though. If I ever disavow the need for facts and figures, do feel free to not take me serious if you feel so inclined. I'll remember though that this one is a no-no for you though.

Not a bad movie Zin.  I have to agree with some of the criticism though.  Perhaps just some basic numbers like what the debt is (include the underfunded programs to for extra impact) and what that means to each person (almost 200k debt per person.  Perhaps make a sarcastic picture of a baby with a caption "I was born yesterday and am already in 200k debt to the government").  No need to remake the one you have done, but I'm sure you see the value in making several ads and making a series out of them :)

Instead of making it a flame thread lets give Zin some things we think could make future ads even better!

So here's a recap of mine:

Give some figures about the debt, use a baby picture w/ caption perhaps?

I enjoy being free to flame people occasionally as well -- being a guy who plays by the rules, I like the liberty here now. As to why I think sepher is evil, that would involve bringing up things that actually disturbed me on this forum that he did, and I don't want to go there again. As far as I am concerned he said some disgusting things that crossed the line -- not just to me, but to others as well. I gave him the benefit of the doubt for a long time, but he blew it time and again.

I am done with him as far as I am concerned, like a couple of other people here. I realized he isn't really here to debate, just to be a piece of garbage. He just likes to use the anonymity of the internet to hurt others.
