You can go to the forums and see peopel asking about the game and newbie question and saying they have recently bought the game as well. Yes its anecdotal , but thats all you ever get with MMOs.

The only real evidence we have is xfire. And xfire shows that the numbers keep dropping. But since you are such an out of control fanboi , you won't admit the truth.  Thats just sad.

FFXI does.  Would have assumed you knew that since you have a taru in your sig :P

It has been explained to you by people on both sides of the fence why crossfire is irrelevant with representing Darkfall.

Why drag it out in every DF thread?

If you are go to make up lies in every thread saying that xfire is meaningless, then I am going to to correct you in every thread.

.  Darkfall will will live or die by its gameplay. Pretending that the numbers aren't falling isn't going to change anything.

It's xfire, it's easier to type and its the right way.

Try

www.xfire.com

then try www.crossfire.com

I'm not saying population hasn't been going down. However it seems it's on the up this month on NA-1 (who knows though).

What people have been trying to tell you is that crossfire is a poor reflection of Darkfall's playerbase. There are a few reasons for this, not the least of which is that Darkfall does not run well with crossfire.

What lies? Don't be so dramatic.

Edit: It shall be xfire from now on, lol.

There's actually a new guild that was created recently called NEW which works in a very similar way as a guild in EVE (forgot the name). Basically all guilds and alliances  are friendly toward this guild and will protect it's members. The guild is composed by new players who may stay in the guild for 30 days after which they are asked to leave. During those 30 days, they can ask for help, info, etc and are less likely to be attacked by random PKers (though I believe 1 guild declared war to NEW recently but it shouldn't last that long)

This is the community's solution in order to keep the new players around.

I'm very impressed.  Where AV has failed to come up with an idea to keep the interest of new players, the players themselves have.  Is there a system in place for the guilds associated with NEW to recruit the players after the 30 days, if the players wish to join a guild?  I'm fascinated by this.  Kudos to the players of Darkfall.  I've heard some rather bad things about the community, but this just proves that not everyone in the community is like that.
