Because they paid big money to put the advert here.

Lol what a silly question.....................if Viagra paid to display a banner, MMORPG.com will publish it.
The reason why you don't see Viagra ads and you usually see MMORPG ads instead, is because advertisers pay for space in websites which have a member base likely to buy their products.
Money is money, doesn't matter where it comes from.

not a silly question at all, there are plenty of other single player games out there, but you dont see them getting airtime here. especially whole front page type. must have been some big bucks.

Probably because it's a RPG. So it makes sense, since some of the audience here like to play RPG's online or offline.

I will buy Dragon Age, for example :P.

It is a silly question because other single player games are not ALL fantasy RPG specially long expected ones such as Dragon Age they are also not made by a company who is also producing one of the most antecipated MMOs (Bioware), ppl have been praising Bioware as the company who can make it "right" if we assume that their marketing department is not asleep all day, its a great way to market their other products.

With a member base of over 1 million games players why not advertise here? after all MMORPG does have those magic three letters on the end of MMO.

Also I'l be buying the game aswell.

Because publishers of other single games, do not think they will get a return advertising here.
Bioware thinks they will get a return so that's why they do it.

MMORPG.com on the other hand, publishes any kind of advert which pays well............they don't have a policy to publish just MMORPG related ads.
The reason I made the Viagra example was that if Pzifer thought they would have a good return advertising here, they will, and MMORPG.com will publish the advert if they pay well.
The reason why you don't see often non relate MMORPG adverts here, is because it would be a waste of money for the companies.
But as I said if Pzifer wanted to advertise the Viagra here, MMORPG.com won't have any problem in publishing a banner.
Reality though is that MMORPG developers will almost exclusively pay to advertise their product here.
This site is still unknown to the majority of game developers.
Bioware came across it just because they are developing a MMORPG, otherwise they won't even know about the existance of it.

To me is a silly question because has an obvious answer.

PS: If your question was why Bioware bother to advert for a single game here, the answer is even more obvious............. MMORPG (red marked text FTW), and SWTOR
You do the connection..............

They are obviously not paying for advertising then, and nobody is going to publicise them for free if someone else is paying to get THEIR game heavily advertised.  Not much of a mystery.
