I like how people call this game crappy when WoW has these "out dated" graphics fallen earth has like everyone says it has. I mean, WoW has cartoonish graphics. Besides, WoW is becoming a kids game these days. all you need to do is remove the suggestive themes and the violence and blood. Add some care bears and foam swords and perhaps some squirt guns and its perfect.

Fallen earth is a good game is what im aiming at.

I dont get the complaints on the graphics, some really well done textures and effects.  Problem is, your not going to get over the top effects and all sorts of crazy glows ect on a realistic game.  Its not flashy.  Its gritty (ok so the trees and shrubs are done with the intersecting 2d planes to appear spherical from the side)  Character models and textures are quite good though.  Top it off with a gritty desert apocolypse enviroment...you can see how some would shutter at the looks i guess.

The games a bit more complex than i had assumed, with no set in stone classes, and a mutation system for "magic" i guess you could call it that.  The mutation system has a few categories with related skills (buffs/debuffs/cc's/dot's/heals) for the ability to somewhat specialize in the standard tank/dd/cc/healer roles, of which the lines are quite blurred over the mutation paths.  You have some paths that are a little bit of everything, others that specialize in debuffs/dots others in heals and buffs.

Your going to have to grasp and love the craft system in this game if your going to get anywhere.  Your also going to have to reserch the game and your desired path (finally a game that requires this).  No respecs as of yet (heard the dev's will attempt to impliment a slow/expensive/and minor respec at some point) and no clear cut "full str /melee build" or other obvious routes.

Also, im lovin the character looks....the mismatched outfits, the  "improvised" and "makeshift" categories  of weapons, along with an interesting selection of armors that you wouldnt expect....soccer cleats/chaps/camo jacket/top hat/paper 3-d glasses or a gas mask....people look creepy as hell in game....such a welcomed change from Aions cutesy anime.

What i think i like most about this game so far, is its ability to weed out the....undesierable crowd...many players ages 25+ will welcome this.  Chat is not flooded with chuck norris and wow comparisons/arguments.

All this game really needs...is a FFA pvp server and some sort of pvp reward system, related to the ffa aspect...just my opinion.

Really surprised at how this game has played out past the learning curve.  Especially since i usually hate to craft or harvest in any form in a game.

Side note, love the music...the music and the inserts of humor in the game....this games got a great sense of humor...some of the side comments from your character are pretty well done.

Whats amazing is this guy is complaining about, is what everyone else on the FE forums is......and the same thing I wrote and you all shot me down.  Because no matter what we put up here about  FE....you jackasses are  gonna deny it and make fun of a new person to mmorpg with one thread for being a troller.  I truly think most of the people who reply against him without trying to argue what he has stated are 15 year olds with no jobs and no resposablity and no life.  We are only trying to hold companies to higher standards and save maybe, one person from wasting his/her money.

gotta laugh at these, yet to see one "chip" selling advertisement since the channels (all of them) are patrolled by at least 1 GM, trust me someone started mouthing off in region, and the GM popped up and went "we watch this too". awesome

the other point sounds like every single mmo i've ever played (i don't count guild wars as a mmo neither do their developers).

Go back to WoW i am happy you hate this game. All it means is a better community.

We must be playing different games... I've been playing for about 2 weeks now and haven't had as much fun in a long time.  I love the way the game looks, the way the armor looks, the shooter kind of gameplay... Sorry this isn't a high fantasy game like you are used to... this guy is either crazy or a troll, either way, I'll be playing for a long time.

1. I agree the game looks somewhat dated, but not as bad as you make it sound.

2. I disagree, have you seen how far you travel, enter underground hideouts, enter buildings or what ever without a single load screen? except when dying.....Sure FE could look 10x better if they would make the whole game have instances or zones, but that's not what I would like, so yeah there needs to be some sacrifice somewhere and I don't mind it just the graphics.

3. I personaly have no complaints, atleast you got these options to have all sorts of tattoo's, I choose to use none but regardless it does have plenty of options to try and make your character unique, besides you still have the options to change things of yourself ingame.

4. Great isn't it? there is just so much you can do with the game solo, now imagine getting into the social game at some point where you indeed become a dedicated crafter and just keep it at that and give friends/guildy's or strangers a contract to get those items you require for your crafting.

5. Guess you missed out on reading some skill books?

6. Obvious bad for those who experiance that, so far myself a pretty low lvl (4) but havn't run into any quest yet that didn't work, but I am sure I might encounter one at some point.

7. Could it be that your experiance is based on a certain time? I have seen nothing but helpfull chat, but rotten apples can be found in about any online game so FE will not be a exception.

Not sure what you getting at, but if it's about some solo play, keep in mind some people like to explore the game by themselfs, I am one of those persons, mostly with games in this genre I stick to myself till about lvl 10/20 depending the game, it also gives me the time to get to know the game aswell knowing if I feel the game is worth to continue with so that when I get into the social part of this genre I am sure to meet other people that like to put some effort into the game.

I feel your expectations are far to high, sure I would like to have seen better physics, but I am also aware of all the things that makes this game a MMORPG and is not made by a  triple A gamecompany, for example if Blizzard would have delivered this game I feel you would be completely right in what you said with many points, but this company aint Blizzard, but this company does TRY what others have neglected and thats make a MMORPG in the more traditional sense.

I for one enjoy Fallen Earth for what its trying to do. I quit Aion and started playing Fallen Earth because, well, Aion just got boring.

I dont mind the graphics in a game, i could care less if i could swim. I love how u can cuztomize your character skills so its not all in a default "box".

Also, the almost daily updates is awesome, the CSR ingame is on a level i never seen before and the community (atleast ingame) is one of the friendliest ive seen.

I played beta and didn't like the game, I agree with the character models being a bit stiff, although on the other hand the world environment is rather good.
But the game itself is ok, if you can get past the character model graphic (which I couldn't).

This game is much better than any other AAA MMO published in the ast year, it is not for everyone, but it is far from being a BAD game.

I'm sorry, but what ever happened to the saying "Buyer Beware"? If you're really concerned about spending your hard earned money then do your own research, and form your own opinion on a product and THEN decide if it's worth it. And if it isn't, then oh well. No matter how hard you try and press your opinion as facts, you aren't getting your money back. Besides, if you want to save your money don't buy things like video games. Buy canned goods for the upcoming apocolypse, where FE becomes REAL LIFE! At least the apocolypse part does, not so much the clones.

The OP is just a troll, which was pretty obvious from the beginning... yet noone can seem to resist falling for his bait. Probably should just let this thread die a quick death at this point, as I'm sure we'll see many more troll threads start up.

Personally, I started testing FE back last November, almost a year ago now, 11/17/08. I watched FE grow, painfully over that time, and I must say for a while there I didn't think FE was going to turn into an MMOG that I would play, or anyone for that matter. I am happy to say that I am pleasantly surprised at how things turned out. I finally was able to subscribe before my trial ran out yesterday and I've been playing like a crazy person since then and loving every minute of it.

For the record I have a very mediocre rig and the game is perfectly playable for me so far. Yes there is lag in the cities, but I haven't run into any huge issues. The engine definitely needs some tweaking still, but considering how much the devs have done so far I know things will turn out fine.

edit: and yeah. the game has bugs and the graphic is to brown for my taste, but damn I enjoy the game. Mostly becuse I dont have to play with some teenagers filled with suger and anger :) (Im not calling you that now, its just how I feel about most mmo communitys)

Dated graphics. Sorry... I mean very dated graphics! I couldn't find a single set of armor that would make me look half decent. To the designers of FE pants and avatars. Do not ever draw anything...

If you waned to place dress up, there is a strong lineup of Barbies still or maybe you are a bratz guy. Go play with those. This is a very good game and they have done nothing but make it better from day one.

Personally, I started testing FE back last November, almost a year ago now, 11/17/08. I watched FE grow, painfully over that time, and I must say for a while there I didn't think FE was going to turn into an MMOG that I would play, or anyone for that matter. And WoW and other games dont have bugs most of what you say isnt even close to true lol. I remember back when I use to play WoW getting myself bugged out under Orgrimmar, on my druid and killing horde all day. I remember duping in WoW. I remember being out to bug out your states in WoW and 1 shot people. I remember people fly hacking in WoW. I remember my guild all creating trail accounts and downloading a custom patch, and going to gm island to kill a gm.

When 3.2 come out 10's of thousands of players couldnt patch there client.

There is a bug right now in WoW that allows you to disconnect people reading their mail.

As of now there are bugs to get into Acherus as a non DK.

There are still bugs that allow you to dupe.

There are still bugs that allow you to get under northrend and run around even kill people.

There are expolites that allow you to earn achievements while offline.

To the OP. You fail so bad at tring to make it sound like WoW and Lotro are bug and expolite free.

So I can prove f a c t s with youtube nowdays. My god! The hamster is really evil as youtube tells me... Next time you take the seat over the rest of us please dont take the one with only one leg. And next time you are about to make statements about facts. Dont have your subject opinion as a fact. That will not make your life easy outside the screen.

Switch of advanced post FX, and post FX, and the game will shine up like a colorful palette :D
