I Love the Holy Warrior Archtype

Anybody ever wonder this? maybe not, but, this is something else interesting that I have noticed. As I have said in many of my other threads, I observing  that there is much hatred towards World of Warcraft from the MMORPG community.

Many people on sites like MMORPG.com, seem to scream out “WoW Clone hate post” But what bothers me is when the fanbase that is doing the WoW hating, are playing a game in which the MMORPG fanbase community agrees on in calling it a WoW clone.

For example:
During Warhammer’s Beta, I remember getting flamed very much, in any post I made. And it would always be a WoW hate post to respond to any of my comments (even if it has nothing to do with WoW). If you made any comparison to anything WoW had you would always get the Leetest Hate phraze.

Iam sure we have all seen the epic leet phrase “GO BACK TO WOW”

But from all the WoW haters I ran into during Warhammers’ Beta from Beta testers and fanboys, its surprising that many people now except the title of being a WoW Clone.

What Happened?

Can a WoW hater really be a extreme WoW Clone fangirl?

Can a WoW hater Relly be a extreme Fangirl of a WoW Clone? (Fun poll for topic)

Yes!
No!

People get butthurt in MMO for a plethora of reasons, especially young people who often play WoW.

I've found that it often doesn't have anything to do with the gameplay, but their guild said X to them, or a GM said Y to them, or they got upset that their best friend left or are upset that Blizzard nerved something about their precious class.

People get upset and start to hate WoW for the most ridiculous reasons, often it has nothing to do with the core game.

Anything that comes out that has high fantasy, classes, fighting mobs, and has quests is labeled a WoW clone. WoW fanboys won't admit there are better games and WoW haters won't admit that WoW has had a large impact on the MMO genre. Ignore them all, and play what you like. As long as you like it, your friends like it, and you're having fun why should you care? It's only a forum where people say virtually anything to get attention, a rise, or just bored with themselves. Play what you like and forget the rest of the bs.

To your question, yes, ill give you that. Good point. Let me ask you this, why do WOW fanboys insist on trying other games in the first place? Theres always people who seem to do nothing but pine for WOW, why dont they just leave the second they realize WOW is better for them? Why harrass players in other games? Why do the fanboys dont just go back to WOW?

Just to make things clear...
I speak for myself and no one else, unless i state otherwise mine is just an opinion. A fact is something that can be independently verified, you may challenge such but with proof. You have every right to disagree with me through sound argument, i believe in constructive debate, but baseless aggression will warrant an unkind response.

LOL

It has nothing to do with the core game?

WoW isn't even a real MMORPG.  It's one of those MMORPGs they made for the people who couldn't handle real MMORPGs like Everquest.

WOW's PvP system = fighting each other in fake zones where you never lose anything in PvP combat.  A game where PVP is totally meaningless and boring..

And their PvE system.  Back when I played we had 40 man instances, and my guild opened up AQ, and we cleared AQ40 while the other guilds on our server were wiping in Molten Core.  You know what happened to WoW since then? They dumbed it down.  Look at 25 man instances, and 10 man.  Content has been getting easier in WoW, not harder.   Blizzard has dumbed down their game so that any PUG can handle their endgame.  They made their endgame trivial for good players, and so good players are forced to leave their shitty game designed for skill-less players.

People hate WoW for lots of valid reasons.  The fact that it's an MMORPG that caters too much to newbies and not to skilled players, or to people who enjoy real PvP systems, or who won't go cry if they get PKed.

When an MMORPG is dumbed down so much that it is no longer any fun, I think that is reason to quit.  The problem with WoW is that their audience is most likely kids, and they are probably addicted to the loot that is easy to get in WoW.  It's just a game where skill no longer matters and only time investments do.  The people who play WoW, who are at the endgame in WoW and have the best gear, they would never be able to handle EQ's endgame or even WoW's endgame before it was nerfed (because the dumb players couldn't handle Naxx40)

Shrug much, you can hire henchmen in EQ too now, it's just as gimp as WoW. MMO were never hard to begin with, some people just don't have time or the attention span to devote to MMO.

You are getting upset at Blizzard for making it easier on people who don't have that time to devote on an MMO, guess what, EQ did the same thing and every long running MMO does it, because playing an MMO where 90% of the players are past you SUCKS. So they make it easier on those new players, and everyone playing gets butthurt because some people might have fun too, cry me a river.

Like I said, most WoW haters are players who got butthurt over nothing.

Btw, if you started WoW thinking this would be a "hardcore" game, the joke is on you.
