What I find most interesting is the number of Darkfall "supporters" that always resort to a couple of common fallacies that seems to be prevalently used both in this forum and the official Darkfall forums. These fallacies being to Appeal to Ridicule and to Bandwagon.

I guess the difference between WoW vs Darkfall popularity wise is this.  WoW has millions of players spread over thousands of servers.  Within these servers they hold a small population which is made even smaller with instancing.  Darkfall on the other hand has one server for EU and one for NA.  Both of which boast large populations which far surpass a WoW server.  Darkfall in this case is clearly superior.

The thing you have to know, when you pay for a niche game like darkfall, mortal online,(2 mmorpg's) And other games like savage 2, heroes of newerth and many others, you support them rather then paying to play a complete game. The way you post, you are not the type of person who would support a game even if its the only type of game left.

So ppl like me wont let darkfall die so we support it so the devs can gather enough money to make patch after patch so finally, darkfall can be a complete game. Most of us, we all sat that is DF a paid beta, but thats what it is currently. there will be a free trial only when DF will be complete, but it will take a lot of time so dont wait for it and try it now if you think darkfall is your style of mmorpg or forget it.

Pretty sure some of the original staff from Razor whatever is on the AV staff. Also pretty sure they are actually adding in the stuff they said was in the game design (not the game itself) prior to beta.

I understand people who like raid content/PvE content, I don't understand how they can do it 1k before something new is added. I loved FFXI, but got bored with it fairly quickly after getting to end game. Same happened in AoC. Once I beat all the raid content I just couldn't keep playing.

Ya the ticket thing was creepy, but that also made me realize why guys play female characters... we basically got his whole guild to join us because he saw a picture of my sister on the forums.  He brought like 50 guys over and that was the start of our server dominance.

Zerg mentality, once the ball gets rolling everyone joins the zerg for easy kills and loot.  Everyone wants the easiest way to win, thus why people macro instead of just playing the game.

Someone needs to make youtube video's of how long it takes to raise skills by playing, not macroing.  Someone record going from 1-100 mining in a video and post it on youtube to show new players that's what they'll be doing a lot if they want to contribute and not just be a free loader.

Someone then should make a video of going from 1 melee skill to max melee skill in any particular category.  Now that would be hillarious.  100 macing... goes out to fight berserker... 3 hitted to death...

watches as mage and archer just hit and run constantly out of aggro boundry.

I don't mind if a game is designed well and I payed for it and I don't like it.

What I hate. and I MEAN HATE is these POS games that come out advertising they're the best at this and that they have all this content in the game on their website, then all the fan boys building it up... then charging AAA title prices and you buy it and get in (with no offered trial) and it's barren content wise, and broken.  I mean seriously this is gameplay wise the worse MMO I've ever played.

99% of the things you do in this game involved a BAR GOING ACROSS THE SCREEN.  Durrrr.  This is fun.   Everything reaks of sales person trying to get a chunk of the cash cow out there and nothing more.

It makes me think of shady car sales people or insurance sales people with bad intentions.

Actually i did or i do consider to give it a try.Since it's so hard to find a good mmo these days,i am even downloading and going to reinstall DAOC right now(By the way,fallen earth is a peice of shit,and yes i tried it.)But the major problems which keep pushing me away form this game are those fanboys keep lying.I just cant force myself to play a game with lairs like Cecropia,Ruyn or Einstein-DF.They really freak me out.

Dang, I only wish they copy the older games, but I can assure you they didn't. That's why some of us fanbois often explode into nerdrage. We think AV fucked up a good game. Still, it's the only thing we have, so we have to stay.

In game, plenty of you dont even complete the goblin location to go on. Most of you whine because you get gank often, but there are load of goblin locations if you search. One near the tower watch, one a bit further, one way more further and on and on. After 1 or 2 days, you should get the time to be strong enough to fight other stuff then goblins, but you guys just give up instead of trying to find whats next.

There are a lot of you ppl who cant handle full loot open world pvp so you quit and since you have no other mmorpg in mind to try out, you come here and bash darkfall(You didnt do it, but your kind do) In game, we are like the best communoty and the worst. Meaning that a lot of us are just annoying ppl, lot of trash talking, lot of noobs killing, but much of us are helpful in game and most of us will invite ppl in to a group to help each others. Join a clan that fit you well and you will enjoy DF really fast. Dont think about doing load of quests because darkfall is not about that. Think about pvp only. All you do have to be a step forward to be better to pvp.

If you rarararara-quite at goblin because you get gank often, dont even bother to retry playing teal you get higher skills because once you are there, getting ganked will make you be even more frustrating since you will star to lose real stuff. Newb locations are the only place where banks are near where you fight and capitals are the only place with tower watch, you rage quitters dont even use them wisely. So you rage quit when you die because you forgot to put your stuff in bank.
