I am growing so tired of reading the forums at mmorpg. Doesn't anyone want to talk about the game that they r playing, offer hints, talk about cool items or just talk about other things insted of just flaming or defending a game. I mean really, if u don't like it good for you, say your peace and get the **** out. If the grinding sucks, find something that suits you.Not enough quests, move on and find your inner gamer somewhere else. Why dwell here? Do we really need 1000"s of posts like this? Do most ppl really care how many subs are going to be in this game in 6 months? Will it make you all warm and fuzzy inside if something that helps pass the time for others fails? I really doubt most care about it being "hardcore" if they find it fun. Plus everyone has there own idea of what hardcore is. (mine is high risk high reward) I happen to really like this game and so far so do many others. I hope the best for it, accept that.

NCSoft dropped the ball (AGAIN) when it comes to botting and RMT.  This is the result.

Not many people are going to stick around in a game, in wich pretty much every darn quest spot is camped by bot trains constantly clearing out the place.

Not to mention that they flood the broker with large stacks of loot and resources, completely ruining the ingame economy.

The bots and RMT has done so much damage already this first month, wich NCSoft will never be able to fix anymore. It has gotten completely out of hand.

Gotha, explain me HOW they sold the 600K games in one week time please?
 

And HOW 1.000.000 western players could play on 12/12 servers in that first week.... with only 7K max(!) players per server (NCsoft own techincal data btw).

And HOW NCsoft said that 60% of their players were ... playing at the same time during that week...

Besides you are STILL 500.000 players short if you think Aion Xfire is NOT oversampled

Aion had 5x the number of EVE players (a game with a CONFIRMED 300K sub players base).

So already Aion was played in its first full EU/NA weekend with ... 1.500.000 players according to Xfire stats.

IMPOSSIBLE. So the only explanation is that Aion is oversampled at Xfire from the very beginning.

The 400K were playing (as NCSoft said on their own website with 60% of them trying to get in at the same time on the ... 12NA/12EU servers... having a total capacity of ... 180K concurrent players.)

Later (like I predicted) they upped that to 14NA/18EU so they could host 240K at the same time.

Now it shows Aion dropped to 50% playing time on Xfire ...(and a loss of 40% players) compared to that first launching week.

So they are around 250K active players now and if you calculate the 60% concurrent ones, servers show an activity of around 150-170K users which explains exactly the NON full server status on prime time.

Of course NCSoft promotes Xfire by offering new layers and even SELLING the game trhough Xfire now (so that Xfire is installed with every client sold on the Xfire website).

Have you even heard of ...."Borderlands", that game is now on par with Aion .. AXfire playings. It just shows ALL its users are using Xfire too to log in . Or ... is that game also selling ... 600K (sic) copies each week... :)))

So Aion already lost its place of second most played MMO in the west to EVE.

Without a doubt it is around the 250K barrier at the moment and still dropping.

--- Apparently Aion has MORE in common with FTP games than pure content. The lying part about their # of players is as ridiculous as FTP ones. Those games also "check" the multi million accounts too.

But the botttom line is .... ALWAYS do the server checks:  the number of servers NEVER ... lie.

this is definitely not a site to take seriously or even a place to come to find meaningful discussion of your MMO.  If you like a game, you can expect your forums to be bombarded with a few fools who have nothing better to do with their time then hang out and troll on a games forums they admittedly hate.  At the end of the day, this site is worthless and the mods are ultimately to blame for allowing the same few clowns to constantly troll and manipulate and destroy any hope for meaningful discussion.

In after made up claims, baseless assumptions and flawed "calculations" to "prove" Aion did fail or is currently failing.

This is a great example of yet another poster who does not play AION and will say whatever the heck comes to her mind about the game.  I am almost level 25.  I have never seen a BOT TRAIN.  I wont lie, I have seen a FEW bots here and there -- but never a BOT TRAIN and never, ever, have I tried to do a quest to have it cleared out by a bot.   It amazes me how people like this come to the AION forums and will lie outright to people who play the game -- of course, they dont care how foolish they look to those of us who play -- they are here desperately trying to deter new players from joining.  Got a life ?  Didnt think so.

AION is not gonna fail.  Even with 250k subs they will do fine.  I cancelled my sub, but there are many who like this genre and will stick around.  I might come back in the future just to check it out...maybe.

I'm not sure what a BOT TRAIN is but I saw a whole BOT LEGION of about 10 characters clearing out the Sprigg Outlaws in Gribbage Canyon. All had gibberish names, the legion name was gibberish and all were much higher levels than the mobs.

Those mobs are needed for a quest. It was impossible to do that quest in the channel because the mobs were literally farmed to extinction. These bots would, somehow, target the mob before it spawns and be on top of it as soon as it did spawn. They were strategically placed through out the whole area so as to maximize coverage and not get in each others way.

I'm personally not trying to deter anyone from playing (can't speak for anyone else.) If you say that you didn't see many bots in areas like Eltnen, Theobomos (or their Asmo equivalents) then I'm sorry, but I dont believe you. Theobomos is completely overrun with bots atm. If you're an Elyos,go and try to kill some Viragos in THeobomos for the quest. And tell me that you don't seee at least 20 bots in that area. Or go to where For Ear Rokes is and have fun waiting for him to spawn, with the bots nearby killing him 50 times a day.

Or even better, wait until you're level 30 and you get to Heiron. Have fun doing your kill quests there with all the bots. Honestly, you're in for a huge surprise when you make it to level 30 and go there. I'm going to go ahead and predict that you will get frustrated by it.

Again I'm not trying to deter anyone from the game. Some people don't mind playing the game with tons of bots around. I'm not one of those people though, I can't stand bots in FPS's games enough and those are free to play. Having to deal with them in a game that you pay to play is just not worth it for me.

I am in Theobomos as we speak -- literally right now.  I have been questing here ALL DAY.  If you are on Lumiel, then I would be happy to meet you there and we can see who is telling the truth.   Earlier today I was questing and noticed no bots, any and all mobs I needed were there -- and for the record I stumbled across Ear Rokes, knew I needed him,  but was doing other quests -- he was there, no one was camping him and I finished that quest as well.  Again, I play the game, if you or anyone else wants to call me out, come on Lumiel right now, send Tyvolus a message and lets see whats up.

Once again, I am level 24 and never, not once has any bot prevented me from doing anything -- the vast majority of players I see, easily 9 out of 10 are guilded with normal names.  Dont believe me, then arrange to meet me in Theobomos -- Show up or shut up.  I am calling you and anyone else out on this right here and now.

If bots were truly the problem you and others claim them to be, then I would not continue to play AION.  Fact is, I dont see it -- I am having a great time in AION -- but I will quit if the crashes are not fixed here in the near future.  So it isnt like I am going to play this game no matter what issues it has.  But back to the point, I called you out, if you are on Lumiel, we have a score to settle.

I am in Theobomos as we speak -- literally right now.  I have been questing here ALL DAY.  If you are on Lumiel, then I would be happy to meet you there and we can see who is telling the truth.   Earlier today I was questing and noticed no bots, any and all mobs I needed were there -- and for the record I stumbled across Ear Rokes, knew I needed him,  but was doing other quests -- he was there, no one was camping him and I finished that quest as well.  Again, I play the game, if you or anyone else wants to call me out, come on Lumiel right now, send Tyvolus a message and lets see whats up.

I'm not on Lumiel and I don't play the flamboyant race. But I do play Asmo on Israphel. Level 23 Spiritmaster, to be precise. After you posted your challenge, I got interested to see how long it would take me to find a few gold farming bots. The following screen shots were taken in a span of about 10 minutes on Israphel in the Morheim region, Asmo side.

After I took these 4 pics, I died and respawned all the way back in town so I gave up. We're these bots disruptive? I honestly didn't stick around to find out but they all were killing quest mobs and the first two were in the same area and the third one was not too far from them but killing other mobs. The last one was out of the way hiding, so probably the most harmless.

Edit: So as I was sitting there eating my Doritos and contemplating on whether I should watch SGU or Flashforward, I thought to myself: Hey, I should check out the 11-20 zone. So i hop on my level 16 Assassin and here is what I see.

All of these bots were right outside Basfelt Village. The first two were in Gribbage Canyon killing Sprigg Outlaws, mobs needed for a quest. The last three were in the lake right outside of the village. They pretty much had the whole lake "farmed" out. If I remember correctly, Summon Water Spirit I drops from the Lake Spirit mobs in the lake, which being a relatively rare drop, costs a lot of gold.

I don't have a character on Lumiel. I have characters on Azphel and Fregion. And since my sub ran out on the 29th, I'm not going to re-activate just to show up on your server and show you how wrong you are. The poster above me did a good job of that himself.

Getting kind of hostile aren't you? Face it, the bots are all over the place and if you don't think they're bad now, just wait until you hit 30 and go to Heiron. Since most of the bots have reached level 30+, you're in for a rude awakening my friend. The bots are out of control.

Basically what you see with Aion is everyone that is around level 25 thinks the game is solid. Everyone over level 40 thinks this game could use a lot of work.

The people that are level 25 don't even know what Aion is. They think they do, but they simply don't.

 I was in a legion but they dropped me when I quit. I miss them, and I admit I do miss playing the game already. But I refuse to put up with the rampant cheating and botting. There's no point playing as a legit player.

same happened to me turns out they was a bunch of fanboys who dont want to hear how thier game is broken heiron is eampant with bots and i still have yet been able to finish rokes quest lvl 30 now so ultimatly no real reason to go back which is sad i wasted 2 and a half days on rokes to have him never show up and even then to watch the mass amount of bots in the area just totally farmed out any creature spawns there is 3 bots at least up and rdy to destroy it got bored waiting and even chased the bots around attempting to steal thier kill but somehow it  is on it like instant so it really didnt do any good oh and the other bots almost seemed to watch out for other bots as since the bots were so close no mobs to pull into them

Let me make this as clear as possible.  I play AION -- I cant meet anyone in game on Lumiel that claims the game is overrun by bots.  I have not seen one bot yet today.   Basucally I am calling you out.  Right here, in front of everyone I am saying I am willing to meet you in game and prove who is right and who is wrong.    you can continue to call me a liar and fanboy and all the other juvenile insults you can think of -- BUT I am willing to meet you in game and settle this IN GAME -- IN THE GAME I WILL PROVE YOU TO BE THE LIARS.

The screen shots that I posted were taken last night, by me. You can CAPSLOCK rage and call people out all you want but the fact is that bots are there. Look at the screen shots! Or maybe I staged them? lol

If you want to see for yourself, level an Asmo on Israphel to 20 and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Oh and one more thing. Do you know what your post reads like after I posted those screen shots? Like a child that sticks his fingers in his ears and goes "LALALALALALALA I CAN'T HEAR YOU!" Lol keep at it.

Lets clear a few things up.  First off, I have said I have seen bots in AION.  What I did say was at least 9 out of 10 PCs I see in game are REAL PLAYERS.  I also have said, I have gone entire play sessions without seeing any suspected bots.  Come to Lumiel, meet up with me AND I WILL SHOW YOU.  So, I am not saying bots dont exist in AION.  They exist in every MMO I have played -- yes, including wow.  So the issue isnt are there bots -- the issue is, is it as out of control as you drama queens are trying so hard to make it be ? -- the answer is NO.    For example, let me show you how selective you people are -- you and others have rambled on about BOT LEGIONS all controlling zones and all mobs and people cant quest -- etc etc etc -- LIES.  Your pictures of a few random, lone bots mean nothing other then what I have already admitted -- there are bots in AION -- just not nearly as many as you people claim.  But there are bots in wow and other MMOs too -- So, whats your point ?  I can buy gold for wow -- so I guess wow is overrun by bots and gold farmers ?  Get a clue guy.   This is a problem for the entire MMO scene.  It is not however anything new or isolated to any one game and it is not anything that should prevetn someone from enjoying the game of your choice. 
 

Here is the bottom line -- in 10 years I have played alot of MMOs.  I have seen bots in them all -- I could if I chose to, I could buy gold or power levelling services in ANY and ALL of them.  My offer stands, come to LUMIEL and we will see if this problem is a fraction of what you and others claim to be.    You and your friends are drama queens.  Plain and Simple. 

I don't have any opinion for the game nor do I want to start shit about it being so bad.

But as I see it, if the game wasn't failing, it wouldn't need someone to start a thread to stand up for it, and as far as I'm concerned, I wouldn't want to play a game with little fanboys such as you who are defending the game so vicariously.

On the contrary, if the game was doing as good as you boast, then threads like this shouldn't be up now, would it?

Now to end this, I see a bunch of fanboy flaming this reply, saying that the number of replies defending this thread proves the game has a lot of support. No, I would say that the number of replies trying to defend the game only proves that there are alot of sissies roaming the forums, tackling everyone who flames it, proving the game has alot of little whiny kids, the more reason I do not want to play the game.

Oh yea, I'm playing the game and enjoying it, the biggest thing that Aion has going against it is the completely annoying player-base.

oh yay.  Another clown throwing the fanboy thing around.  how freaking original !!  There are plenty of people who come to this forum and spread lies about AION.  The fact that people who actually play the game are REFUTING these lies does not necessarily make them fanboys.  Here try this one on for size:  I start a thread stating I know someone who knows you IRL and they said you wear ladies clothing.  You defend yourself and attempt to discredit the lies.  According to your logic, the fact you had to defend yourself means what I falsely accused you of is true.  I mean, why would you defend yourself by starting a thread to claim you were lied on ?
 

Next time instead of attacking someone with juvenile insults -- try addressing my points.  The reason you didnt address any of the points I made is simple... you and the other haters CAN'T.

I have been too busy to post in these forums. I'd rather have fun in the game - but here it comes as a service to those on the edge:

All I can tell you is that you are missing out on a great game. I suspect some of the harsh reactions are due to people trying to justify the feeling of losing out on something. Because you are, and deep inside you know it. That is really why you are so eager to bash the game.

Well - that's what it is. You are losing out on a great experience, packed servers, buzzing economy, people running instances at all levels, having a sense of accomplishment. You can mope in the forums all you want. You're wailing here - whereas the rest of the people are having fun.

Your audience is made up by the other guys who have lost out just like you did ...
