I was looking for a game to play while waiting mortal online. And i grabbed a free trial key from mmorpg.com, started playing....

This game has a lots of fun, atmosphere and quite a deal.Followed the story line, read every material, i read everything after the AION disaster..Refreshing...This game really brings me the memories and joyness of old times.

Th?nk im gonna stick with it for hours after EQ1 and UO..You should try it too.

The real good news is once this company goes bankrupt we won't have to see anymore developers trying to alpha test their games using paying customers as guinea pigs.

It seems people love the game when it sneaks up on them. I know it happened this way for me.

Same here. I went in with zero expectations and was pleasantly surprised.

The Secret World

My coincidence goes back a year or 2 ago. I was looking to play Face of Mankind  and stumbled onto Fallen Earth. I was wondering if the world had other PA mmorpg's coming out anytime soon and FE popped on my browser as well.

The game didn't look pretty a couple years back, but I was just burnt on all the fantasy type mmorpg's we have out there and wanted something new and different.

I applied to the FE Alpha test a year back and stuck with it since, I had my doubts about it going into the beginning year of 2009, but I am glad I stuck it out.

Yep. I am proof that Trials (even those put out early after release by smaller companies) work if the game is good enough to stand up for itself. I'm on trial and loving every minute of playing this game and I will be paying my $50 and subscribing.

I thought I was done with mmos until TOR but this will be my game until that comes out and if that doesn't live up tp my expectations, maybe beyond...

I love this post here. I think that's the problem with most MMOs that come out. People have such high expectations that most the time are never met. I don't think people know enough about FE to have that.

For me the initial play experience was not so good. The first 30 minutes all I could think of is how clunky the combat is. Well ya it's not as smooth as a FPS game, but the game does play well once you get used to it. I love how everything is open and not instanced, giving you a feeling of a small fish in a big world...I like that.

Biggest drawback I am facing right now is I am being cursed with memory leaks. I cannot go to any town without my FPS dropping to single digits and basically making it unplayable.

In all after my trial is over I will not purchase the game....yet. Once the memory leak has been fix ( and I am sure it will be just as Age of Conans leaks were fixed ) I will scrounge up some cash and buy this game, probably will go down in price a little by that time to, so might be a worth while investment then :)

After playing 3 hours of open beta I reviewed FE as a POS that was doomed to fail.

After 12 hours I liked it.

After 20 hours I was a pom pom whirling cheerleader fanboi. Never looked back.

That seems to be the way it is playing for me. i got on thought it sucked but decided to give it another whirl and hated it less. i think i had become to brainwashed with easy mmo's that i didn't like that i had to put thought in things. this game brings a breath of fresh air and reminds of of my anarchy online days before it went f2p

My thoughts exactly, I remember being plopped down in a Holodeck room (City Backyards of AO) . But once I finished that area and moved on to the game world, I was lost and did not know where to go or what to do. Fallen Earth reminds me a lot of that.

The feeling of, where do I start here and what do I do now..

I had this in Morrowind. That game is a legend..... I really hope the Elder Scolls MMO is somewhere in the tube, and that they don't screw it up. Those games always cried for being  "MMO'd".... best lore ever.
