Yours is not the path of force, though force is often needed to clear the path.

'First Bank of Antimatter' Issues Anti-Money

Time to invest!

"We want our customers to be confident that the antimatter is available on demand, but we're advising clients to conduct transactions strictly in paper currency," says Mr. Keats, who has used his artistry to design the money in multiple colors including red, blue and green. "The paper is cotton rag, archival enough to survive economic armageddon" he promises. "It's an essential asset in any balanced portfolio. Antimatter is a natural haven for wealth when everything becomes worthless."

The bank will serve as a hub for antimatter transactions worldwide, eventually financing the building of antimatter infrastructure and providing the public with a full range of investment opportunities. "But our first order of business will be printing money," says Mr. Keats. "Cash is the foundation of any economy, and an anti-economy is no exception."

The new currency will be issued in three convenient denominations, ranging from 10,000 positrons to 1,000,000 positrons. The anti-money will be backed by antimatter stored in the bank's own vaults. Owing to the unstable nature of antimatter in our matter-based economy, new antimatter will be produced continuously by the decay of the radioactive isotope potassium-40. The antimatter depository notes will trade initially at $10 to $1,000.

We are all ignorant until truth is revealed to us.. However.. How do we know the truth is not in fact a lie..

"When a man has lost everything, he may despair and die. He might give his soul to the fate's... or, he can resolve to take action."

"The great thing about human language is that it prevents us from sticking to the matter at hand."

Don't mock me my friend. It's a condition of mental divergence.

Reminds me of something you would see on Futurama.

What happens if you combine money and anti-money anyway?

Here I was complainin' about loss of pride and how life had treated me, and now I realized... I never had any pride

Cool a currancy backed by the purest method of making energy.   Doesn't sound very pious or newage to me.

unserious thread requires serious reply.

Debugging is twice as hard as writing the code in the first place. Therefore, if you write the code as cleverly as possible, you are, by definition, not smart enough to debug it.

Wow...Just wow!

This has got to be the biggest real world science breakthrough used as a money scam since cryogenics.  Both have a plausible starting point in practical science but in current applications has no long term use other than in sci-fi or money grab from the gullable.

People may have their head frozen now hoping science will solve their disease as well as the defrost process to make themselves immortal.   As of now there is no way to defrost organic tissue without it turning to useless goo.  This is the same.

Matter and antimatter collision only exists practically today as a sci-fi concept in Star Trek as a means of sustained and clean source of energy.  Otherwise it serves no practical use in the real world.  To produce it you need partical accellerators which are government owned, expensive, and no private bank would have a right to claim to.  Even then there is currently no way to store antimatter long term efficiently.  When it is used to produce energy there is no way to control reaction ( DiLitihium crystals don't exist except as a plot convinience).   From what I understand less than a gram is produced annually in experiments, it serves no other purpose than the releasing of energy.  You can't use it to fill cavities in teeth like gold or any other use.

To me this is like selling backstage passes to see God after a concert in God's honor. (not meant to start a God debate.)

Antimatter is not a wallstreet commodity.  It never will (at least in any of the investor's lifetime).  Gold on our planet is finite.  Fossil fuels of all types are finite.  Even human resources can be considered finite.

Antimatter does not exist in nature; we manufacture it.  It is like calling hamburgers a commdity.  Except the sources that produce it are publicly owned and banks have no claim to it.  Of course since we aren't talking about chopped beef; THIS IS ANTIMATTER.  The banks can sell a trillion grams of it.  The governmet does not owe them to give the antimatter later even if contracts are signed now.   All any gov has to claim is "national security" to have any contact voided.

Tommorow I am going to start booking travel on starships that travel six times faster than the speed of light and has photon torpedeos with the fine print disclaimer:  Warning the technology does no exist yet, but we expect it soon. No definate time is sure, but it will eventually come.  Buyers assumes all risk.

Unless somebody explains to me how I am wrong, all I have to say is:  How stupid can people be?
