They don't have to make a swimming animation as far as I know daevas can't swim but maybe a struggling to stay on the top of water animation and when life gets 0 drowns yes.

LOL, are u joking?  LET ME TELL YOU THE biggest easy mode there is in any MMO, and thats the /LOCate function which aion has.  NCsoft knew there playerbase were idiots and had low IQ so they put the location function into the game, but even then retards still ask 24/7 where is this and where is that, when they have the biggest freebie carebear function of any mmo.  So dont make it out that anything is hardcore in Aion,

You lose 3% when you die.. you can buy back 2%.  The painful part is that the penalty at 39 is like 50-60K  (it depends apparently on how dumb you were when you died).

              Grinding rep is up to a certain point once your rep is exalted you cant gain any more rep after that . Dailies are there to do pve and make gold  and the best part about the dailies is they are not forced upon you , you have the option of whether you want to do them or make gold from your profession. ( I assume you havent played WoW at all. )

YOu wanna know the secret formula of why WoW is so popular? It comes to one thing in mind " fun" . A game is supposed to be fun not a grind 1,000,000,000 xp and go through linear world all day long with no purpose. What makes WoW so great is content I have the option to level alts, Do battlegrounds, do wintergrasp, do VAult from WG, Raid different dungeons, do instances, level up professions, do arenas etc. "Content" Something which Aion does not even closely resemble.

At my pace (gathering and crafting quite a bit) I will reach lvl50 in about a half year. And now that I have hit lvl36 after a month of gameplay, I feel like every level I gain is and accomplishment (although I think it could be even a bit harder). Me like it.

Agreed! Aion is a different ball game altogether. Instead of grinding dailies, we're grinding repeatable quests. And instead of grinding honor points we're grinding Abyss points. They are completely different, you newbs!

Indeed.  Aion has a built-in "Idiot Mode" for questing - as if the quests were even remotely difficult to find or complete. Aion has ONE quest chain per race, and ONE starting zone per race.  Aion zones are so linear they may as well be tunnels - no exploration here.   Aion was stale and old 60 seconds after it was launched.  Amazing how many people find all that fresh, innovating and exciting, but then some people have REALLY low standards.

The OP only referred to WoW as regards the Halloween content, but obviously just mentioning WoW is enough to get the Nerd Herd agitated.

it takes about 1-2months to reach max level for a casual player who spends around 2-4hours a night. That isn't long at all

Disciplining yourself to tolerate the mindless grinding of a game is not hardcore by any means. You are simply convincing yourselves that crap tastes like candy and calling everyone a fool for pointing out something they consider obvious. If it looks like crap, smells like crap and tastes like crap, then simple reasoning would imply that it must be crap. However, most people reason these things out completely in reverse. If everyone else says its crap and you like it, then they must be idiots and nothing they say can hold up to your scrutiny.

Humanity has taken close-mindedness to new levels in the past few centuries.

I'm sorry, but I just had to reply to this ridiculously garbage post (like many others have before me)...

1) Aion was most certainly made for the WoW player in mind. Literally everything in the game is a straight jack from WoW except for the wings and tedium. The control style, the user interface, hell even the art style was heavily influenced from WoW. There are some areas in the game where you could drop a WoW character in and it would take a second to identify which game was being played.

2) What the hell are you talking about? Everything Aion is easymode. You have everything spoon-fed to you all the way along. You never have to look for anything or explore because every quest and every NPC is automatically located for you. What WoW has through 3rd party add-ons, Aion has as built-in features. Plus the areas in Aion are so unbelievably linear that it is impossible to do any exploring...

Saying things like that, I have to wonder if you are posting simply to cause a cascade of reaction flame posts...

Why are you in a rush to get to 50 after 3 weeks? I never understood that attitude of i want it all NOW.

Also if you been reading their increasing quest xp in the 40-50 bracket. They have killed off the gold spammers, so don't tell me their not doing anything.

 

Gold spammers still exist on Nezekan.  They set up private shops in forts and such advertising their sites.  Bots on Nezekan are so bad now that it seriously affects gameplay.  A guy in our Legion said the other servers were not as bad so I am not sure why Nezekan is being ignored.  Server pop is down as of yesterday and the bots matched real paying customers 1 to 1.  Hopefully when the pay to play starts (today) there will be less bots.  I believe they are increasing exp at lower levels too.
