Forcing x16 AA makes this game even sexier. Unfortunately my GPU overheats like crazy if it's forced that high, lol. x2 is good enough. |

The enviroment and the landscape graphics are more then satisfactory. They are not as important as character gpx and animations though (this is something NCSoft did very well with Aion, pretty much only good thing I can say about Aion lol, simple landscapes but very detailed character gpx). Now, at first, if you come from games like AoC character graphics might look a bit sub par but they grow on you fast and after few days they look very good. It"s a strange phenomenon that happens to me in every MMO. For example I played Vanguard after AoC and at first chars in VG looked odd compared to AoC, after few days char and running animations looked very natural, when i got back to AoC those chars looked odd again for few days heh. I mean... AoC goes as the game with best graphics and char animations by far and yet they looked odd to me for awhile after playing other game for a month or so. The point is.. gameplay always comes first gpx are something you get used to after few days.
HOWEVER, there is no excuse for the melee combat animations in FE :). They looked silly the first day, they still look silly and will look silly after a year, unless they get some much needed love because seriously.. they dont belong in MMOs of today. What is very strange to me is that FE has the biggest number of emotes and dance animations I've ever seen in a game and they look awesome and the chars move and dance very naturaly and believable. So how is it that they can make awesome breakdancing but melee combat sucks donkey balls? I dont get it lol. It's the only complaint I have about FE and I hope Icarus does something about it....soon.

Well just to be fair, As much as I love FE some of the graphic drawing is quite bad,what these screen shots do not show is the drawing of shrubs and sometimes even buildings right before your eye's...even my wife(who admits she knows nothing about game's and care's even less)said it was funny how the game keeps "drawing in front of you. Like I said I totally love this game and can not get enough but just to be fair I thought this should be mentioned to a graphic thread. |

I really dont like the character animations and movement/control aspect of the game. Feels and looks clunky. Otherwise, everything is awesome. |

nope the graphics aint too bad ,tbh the sys reqs for it are . That wasnt what made me quitt the game .....its was feeling the game had so many things that were broken (specialy pvp, wich is the core of the "ENDGMAE") and the once so caring GM's got so damn arrogant and blind bout the ingame issues. endlessly repeatable AP quests , clans having their whole tactics build up on gamemechanic failures (call it in short total unbalance), OP tutorial weapons brought into the game ..ect ect ect . it seems the game needs like 6 month to have a stable runnin , and another 3 month to balance the pvp shit out . But well id have known since the factionwheeling that somithings not right with the whole system there . Anyway the time i had ingame was good ..good pll ..good community , but i lost faith in the devs /gms and i only hope they wrong me in the future |

The time spent and items needed is more than enough to sort out the crafters and the would be crafters. Remember it is still supposed to be fun. |

I was half-joking. Sure there are only a few different kinds, but there are hundreds if not thousands of them everywhere. If FE had that many detailed scrubs, it would certainly slow performance down. Did the games you play with detailed scrubs have as many as FE? Out of the ones I've tried, none of them had as many. Hey OP, nice pics! However my system is showing its age and when my current system explodes, I will treat myself to a new rig. So for now as long as I can play my current mmo titles, I am happy. Again great pics, you wonder since Icarus developed the engine, what will the graphics and animation will be like a year down the road. I came from a Anarchy Online, Eve and SWG background of gaming and have seen grfx updates to all 3 of these. So I can't wait what the future holds for FE on its content and graphics update are. |

I heard they are in the mix for a graphic upgrade, but think they are going through and upgrading the buildings and possibly characters now and in the near future. Actually I think they are done with the buildings and finishing up grasses, still scrubs look to be at the bottom of the list. |

The most important thing is that devs listen to their player base and every update and move they make is very logical and makes sense. You get the feeling that they are gamers themselves and know exactly wtf they are doing, which I cant say about every other game company, especially the big ones. So I already have a big confidence in this small indy company and this game will only go up, these guys atm are schooling every single game developer as to how you run a MMO properly. I see many similarities between Icarus and CCP (EVE developers) and that's a good thing.

You can increase and decrease the view distance of those items, and in S2 and even high S1 you'll start to notice some changes in scenery, but its pretty spot on with other games of the post apoc genre. |
