hi all!

I am looking for a mmorpg with fast, balanced PvP (instanced, Open world etc....).

At the moment i play Requiem Memento Mori (Bloodymare) and like the fast PvP in it.

So far my choices are (i have not played them yet)

  1. Aion
  2. Guild Wars (Factions, Nightfall)
  3. Runes of Magic
  4. Warhammer Online

Could anyone give me a suggestion!

oh and..... lesser grinding, the better.

thanks

Maybe if I'm going to have my Xfire profile up, I should start using Xfire...

Guild Wars has an PvP mode where you can start at level 20 just for PvP.

*Knights of Dream City - Johnon - Dream Knight/Engineer Level 12
*Pernica - Johnon - Singing Carpenter's Apprentice
I have trouble finding time to play all of my MMOs, heh.

Runes of Magic's PvP isn't very good... I'd leave that off if you want a game mainly for PvP. Otherwise its a pretty good game.

I agree with above poster. RoM PvP is hugely favorable of the player who spends the most real life money. It's nearly impossible not to get slaughtered in a PvP server by cash shop users.  I understand some advantage but when a CS user your own level can 4 shot you if you and you have very decent gear that imo is way to OP.  Then again you can compete with most CS users just not win...and not the ones that spend 50+ /month

Age of Conan. Other people will bash this game, but this game has incredible pvp. Plus it has fatalities. I don't have any videos on youtube, but I do have a video of me fatalitying someone 2 levels higher than me when I was naked running around ganking people. AOC involves a lot of player skill(hit boxes, circle strafing, good hand/eye coordination and key coordination) involved and has less of an emphasis on gear and levels(though some levels).

Well, given your choices I would say Either guild Wars or Warhammer.

It is possible to level up in Warhammer just doing pvp. I'm unsure how long that would take but between the scenarios and the RvR I believe it could be done. Guild Wars pvp is excellent but it's more about arena pvp where matches with expert players can take quite a bit of time. there is also a pve storyline.

I like Aion pvp but it starts at lvl 20 and others would argue 25. Also, it is large group pvp, so if you are out leveling or doing a quest you can feasibly be steamrolled by the opposing faction while they are on their way to a siege.

I will throw Fallen Earth into the mix.

Though it is not for everyone and is a FPS mmo,has not long released but does take a lot more thought than some other recent mmo release's.

Maybe something else you can look at.

If someone had came up to me in 1980 when I was on my Atari 2600 and said we will be playing games with thousands of people at the same time.I guess my response would have been,"but I only have 2 joysticks"

I have to agree with Sovrath Guild Wars and Warhammer have the best PvP. Guild Wars has a PvP mode where you start at 20 but have to unlock your skills and Warhammer you can PvP right from the start and gain some nice armor. I would say check out the Warhammer Trial not sure if Guild Wars has a trial have not played it in awhile.
