I know nothing of that class. I mainly meant to try something different. I'd like to hear more about that class, pros and cons.

Pros

-range

-Highest potential burst

-lots of mobility

-best at flying combat -> best Abyss gankers

-decent CC and snares

-best kiters and chasers

-bows are cheap (low demand)

-some of the best DP skills

-good at both individual and group combat

Cons

-cool-down dependent (most classes are though)

-damage is inconsistent (low lows; high highs)

-low survivability

-use lots of mana at higher levels (with a relatively low mana pool)

-arrows and reagent dependent  (traps, forms)

-leveling one from 1-18 is balls

-I've "heard" they don't scale as well endgame as the melee physical classes

They are a good class.  I don't think you'll ever regret rolling a ranger... which isn't something I can say for a couple of the other classes.

they become bearable at 19, and get better from there.

Ranger is the only class that seems to be in game to kill my SM... everyone else they can't beat me, they can only run.

This pretty much sums up the class perfectly.

Agreed they are the best at abyss ganking with their run speed snares and they also are incrdible at chasing down people in the air.  They are amazing at kiting because they can run jump and turn at the same time fire off some shots and land in the direction they were going.  You will see a lot of rangers kiting mobs that are pretty much unsoloable for most other classes.  Sorcs and SM's can do it but if they mess up they die really really fast. Rangers are a very solid class to play.

Rangers suck before level 16. ONly at lev 16 do they start to come into their own. They are not highly needed for either groups of guilds

Agree, except for the DP skills. Mau form is decent a DP skill but the rest are crap. We need like a a big one shot DP skill.
