According to Gamasutra, based on retail sales in the U.S (Euro excluded) Aion was the top selling videogame ahead of Sims3 and WoTLK. I have no numbers for Europe, but i suppose it shares a similar position since it grabbed the title for the best selling game in September and was launched right in the end of the month so it only sold for a week on this numbers. The article can be read here www.gamasutra.com/php-bin/news_index.php The question is, will the game continue to be on top, or, after a complete month ending tomorrow, 22 Oct it will start to stale? |

The top selling video game in September, competing against games that have been out for a long while. Most triple A titles do that when they are first released, I know this may be new to you but it's ok. This would be relevant if it actually sold more copies than LK and Sims 3 on their initial releases. |

It could have only 1 day of sales in teh month and would have still came out on top ... its a new game. A super hyped game at that, competing for sales against games that have been out how long now? Highly irrelevent information and would show nothing about the future of Aion what so ever. |

Probably not such a big deal, it was fairly popular title - do these numbers include the pre-orders? These rankings are somewhat moot unless you get the actual numbers, the first two could be either 100K vs 99K or 500K vs 30K still the rank would be the same. note: I am saying this as someone who loves the game so it is not the usual haterade |
