You know what is even more pathethic?

People getting so obsessed and desperate, that instead of quoting you on the forum and come up with counter arguments, they resort to attack you through Personal Messages in a pathethic way:

What a loser you seem to be. Do you think people will quit because of your Lies??
Now go back to playing war and don't worry what other people are enjoying. It's like you trolls think you get paid fir hating a game

Just received that in PM from the user XXXX .

That is now the AION community.

When www met dot , they then stumbled upon Secret Society , wich happened to be a Guild , wich in turn told dot about the net .

Yeah, fail people are the ones leaving so far. The ones who have been whinning about their death penalties or the "grind" So far what grind? I'm a level 25 temp and i haven't seen any. Also if your going to say " well your just low level"  anywhere from 25 onwards i'd expect an increase in grind etc.  Aion is an awesome game so far in my opinion and the servers a still filling up if you ask me, they stopped letting people join particular server because they were so full and were talking about increase capacity limits. I don't know where you got this "fact" from. over 50% of the server.. Lol... Thats a rediculous amount.

No one's impressed.

Wait till you get past level 30. Then we talk again. All people who keep saying this game isn't a grind are all below level30.

Get your character to at least level40 first. Then come back and claim this game has no grind.

If this game had no grind and is so great and fun to play all the way to level50, then so many players (next to all the goldfarm bots) wouldn't resort to botting and buying kinah and cheating the crap out of this game!

So go figure.

But by posting on this part of the boards, you're making yourself part of the community you seem to now loath.

I am making sure that he doesn't do it again.

It's just pathetic to resort to attacking people through Personal Messages, because you can't win an argument on the forums.

Just curious here, but isn't it more likely that NCSoft finally came through with their promiss to increase server capacity than a massive quit 2 weeks after they said they would be? I could see this screenie being from quits if it was on several servers, but not on all at the same time. The chances of 50% quiting on the player base for each faction on each and every server at the same time is highly unlikely. Thats like saying every electronic device in your house broke on the same day, instead of noticing the freaking power is out.

I think it's a combination of server increased capacity, people playing more normal hours than they used to when the game launched and a good portion of people starting to leave now that the box month is nearing over.

The title of this thread is of course hilarious, since most MMOs can expect at best a 30% retention after the box month. 50% retention would have been a tremendous success, which I doubt NCsoft will achieve.

If a game is good, fun to play and has a good community. Than the retention rate would be a lot higher then just 30%.

The problem is, that the last couple years most MMO launches were just crap and the quality of the MMO's were crap as well.

People are getting fed up and tired of it. And not willing to be put up with it anymore.

With AION it's basically ironic and also a shame, as the game is actually pretty okay and polished. But it's getting destroyed, because of the botting and cheating being completely out of control and the pathetic support and very poor communication (or complete lack theiroff in case of Europe) by NCSoft.

If the botting and cheating wouldn't have been so out of control and NCSoft actually provided decent communication and ingame support. Then I would have continued to subscribe.

Cheers

Nope. The real reason is that you ALL (even the haters) were spoiled by XXX , but you don't realise it after having dully played that game for 10.000 hours (well I may be a few thousand hours off).

This FANTASY "mmorpg" thing is DONE, broken it is FINISHED as a viable market place to hold on to even 300K subs...

UNLESS...

UNLESS... you offer something  DIFFERENT. EVE is proof there IS a market over there (as dull as it may be if you don't like it).

A new river bend and another mountain is NOT enough to satisfy your needs.

In fact Aoc, War, TR and Aion like copies do FAR more damage than WOW EVER did to this industry.

People leave the genre because of them.

Period.

Retention rates are still what they are throughout the industry. Some people were hoping that Aion would retain 60%, like in another thread some time ago. That's a bit too much, considering how the game is setup. I would assume that 25% is a bit too much already, but that's my own wild (and inaccurate) estimate.

As for your complaints, I haven't seen a company move so fast to address issues. A working spam filter was installed in two weeks time (when in comparison, WoW gamers had to wait for months, or rely on 3rd party software). The past L2 history is not very promising, but the recent Aion history of fast addressing issues gives me confidence that the botters will be addressed swiftly even before the first box month is over. You assume that they are doing nothing, while I witness them working double time and giving good and fast solutions to the problems.

I have no idea what the retention rates and I hyped the game a bit.

We already canceled the two accounts we had.  I don't really have anything bad to say about the game.. it just wasn't going to hold my attention (personal view point)

Being able to choose the skills you want to use, offers much less variety than pre-made class based systems.

LOL u misunderstood the Server statis. It tell you the CAPACITY of the server AT THE TIME. nezekan was on recommanded 2 hrs ago but now its "FULL" while Ariel was full before has gone to recommanded it tells u the amount of people playing at the time on that server. depending on where the players live on those server its going to be full at different times

there is no mass quit maybe just small amount of people quiting cuz they dislikes the game but it all normal

No it is not.

Am I spoiled by World of Warcraft? As that seems to be the most popular motto of all time these days. NO I AM NOT! Not one single bit!

I enjoyed WoW a lot. Played it for nearly 2 years and then quit shortly after TBC.

Yet, I keep on returning to LOTRO and EQ2 and still enjoy playing these games. Both in the same category.

Warhammer Online was a great and fun game to play. I enjoyed it a great deal and managed to stick with it till January this year.

It was the broken PVE content they never bothered to fix that pissed me off.

It was the laggy and broken RvR they never bothered to fix that pissed me off.

If Mythic actually focussed on fixing the core issues with their game, I would have still played it.

When it comes to AION. I enjoyed playing it a lot. It was fun. Crafting was pretty fun.

It was the sheer lack of support and horrible communication by NCSoft that pissed me off.

The botting that got completely out of control was the final nail on the coffin for me. As it just kills all the fun and immersion in the game.

You can't go anywhere, without running into trains of bots. Just pathetic. It's Lineage 2 all over again.

Not to mention that AION is a highly competitive PVP game and the thought that so many players are just botting themselves and resort to buying kinah and so cheat their way to the top, was more then enough reason to ditch this game and avoid it like the plague.

Cheers

The majority of the servers are full during the late afternoon-primetime-midnight, so I don't know where your coming up with this idea.

Why are some of you so surprised. The game has a massive grind, very little content, tons of botter and gold sellers.

Seriously, that Aion is going to lose most players is like predicting it's going to be hotter in the summer than in the winter. Everyone knew this was going to happen.

It's just sad that no game seems to be able to reach 1 million players in the West anymore, Aion will be down to 100k players in a matter of weeks. We need something fun and new, not the same thing over and over and over..jesus.

If you don't like Aion, then don't come and post here on these boards and bitch and moan, its simple really......I'm not an alcoholic, so I don't go to AA mettings and why? Cause I don't drink, if you don't play Aion why are you here???

God and you wonder why the MMO community has gone too shit.

Go play WoW if your looking for instant gratification, if not STFU and GTFO cause no one want's to hear whinny 32 yr old men that bitch and complain cause the world doesn't revolve around them and there 60$ they spent.

I burn $60 at the strip club in 30 mmmmmmk chump change..........

The mmo cummunity on these boards are a vile hating bunch. There are no facts to back up the claims people are leaving .. its sad their trying to bring down a succesful game.

This great site even rated Aion as the best MMO ever released so what would these wannabe trolls know anyway? IMO dont listen to them and just enjoy Aion :)
