Yeah.. its a fun game but lol not really much to keep some playing. Good pvp but for ME WAY to much like FREE2PLAY. After one year they have not done much to change that.

The servers list as either FULL or RECOMMENDED. How does that mean massive quitting? Go away trolls you're making the game and yourself look bad.

And I highly doubt RECOMMENDED means (omg wtf everyone quit). Grow up.

I'm just wondering what will happen to population balance on the servers.  What if one side has more ppl quitting than the other side?  The Baluar have to step in and take up the slack?

He is a week too early with the post. Give it a week. Then the first 30 days are up.

When www met dot , they then stumbled upon Secret Society , wich happened to be a Guild , wich in turn told dot about the net .

Nothing to look at here. Move along.

Its like I logged on and there was like just nobody there.  They'd all left the game!

Sure they did.  Now take your medication and go lie down.  You'll feel better after a nice nap.

I don't know tho. But 12:30 AM during weekdays.

Maybe it's because people are to bed? You know... some people actually have a job or take school more serious. ;)

Just saying.

Now if this would be earlier during the evening next week, after the 30 days are up. Now that wouldn't suprise me one bit.

Cheers

Recommended means free to play, means not full, means no queuing lines after a mere 3 weeks.

Get the picture :))

What makes you think Aion would be the first mmorpg since 4 years with a greater than 30% retention rate after 3 months?

The only test for an MMORPG is the 180 dollars yearly subcription rate, not the Chinese free to play cafés with false numbers....

Not really a shock here, the game has the lasting power of lego to a 40 year old.

Hahah ! This!

Actually is pretty much true, NC Soft fails again. Many of my friends, which were dieing fans of Aion, didnt logged in a week. I quit the game due to poor game design, and communication problems. This is my last NC Soft made game, of course that doesnt include the games that their are publishing only, since is the only thing they are good at. See Guild Wars. We all saw this upcoming besides the NC Soft management lol.

That's pretty much how I feel tho.

AION is not a bad game. It's pretty fun. But so was Lineage 2. And so was Tabula Rasa.

The fact, that pretty much all communication goes through Twitter makes me vomit. What a joke.

The fact, that botting and goldsell spam got completely out of control right at launch. Joke number 2.

The fact, that they didn't had 24/7 GM support at launch (and still don't). And no GM support at all in Europe. Joke number 3.

The fact, that so many so called legit players are just botting and cheating the crap out of the game themselves. Joke number 4.

The fact, that they now already sent out mails to beg people to subscribe by throwing rewards at them. And launching a World Event just the day before everyone's 30 days run out. Joke number 5.

------------

I have played MMO games from Indy companies struggling with funding, that were much better managed than this.

I am completely done with NCSoft as well. They have now showed three times in a row that they cannot handle a self developed MMO.

For a multi-million dollar company they are truly ONE BIG JOKE! Let them stay in Asia. It's where this kind of crap belongs.

Cheers

I almost wish I hadn't uninstalled the game just so I could check in and see what the server list looks like at prime time. Which IMO prime time for NA servers in general is between 7:00pm EST and 3:00am EST. Probably splitting the difference would be a good measure of the games health, so around 11:00pm EST.

Yeah I am sure that there are a ton of people who will still play Aion. However the vast majority of MMOG players are getting the feelings of dejavu by now with Aion because it really is just the same old shtick with a slightly different skin. Just like every other game, the honeymoon period is coming to a close and the hype and newness is wearing off and people are looking forward to the next big thing...

You know what is more sad and very Ironic?

That Tabula Rasa was actually a much better game. If NCSoft just had given it a chance and actually tried to fix it.

The whole combat system of Tabula Rasa was 100 times more fluid and smooth as hell. And TAB targeting actually worked.

The mob AI in Tabula Rasa was also 100 times better. The Alien drop ships dropping off patrols and such. Best thing I've ever seen in an MMO to date.

They just had to fix the skill trees and add more content. That's all.

I actually liked tabula rasa, and if given the choice, I would pay for TR instead of Aion.

The good thing with Ncsoft is that they gave me Aion ce edition free cause i subscribed to TR till the end.

Hate to say I told you so but... Oh what the hell, I'd be lying if I said that.

Yeah, the pc game draught is coming to a close; so nobody wants to waste their time on sub standard time sinks.

Before WOW, there were MMORPG''s. After WOW there were online solo single RPG''s.

I wonder how much of this relates to Anime-ish type flying characters.  Most Western players appear to be comfortable with "feet-on-the-ground" Tolkienesque-type characters.

Some of these Eastern games are well-done, but a bit jarring, culturally-speaking.  Were I to design an MMORPG, I think I would fit it to the market.

I haven't gotten any emails from NCSoft offering me incentives... /tear

Yeah I was a subscriber and long time beta tester for Tabula Rasa and agree that TR was a much better MMOG than Aion. I would have kept playing it if they had just balanced it a tad more, made it a bit less soloable and added a buttload more end game content. I also was handed Aion on a silver platter by NCSoft because I was a subscriber to TR, with access to all betas, the head start, free 30 days and all the CE goodies... but honestly, they can keep it.

Everyone wants to go to Heaven but no one wants to die!

10/21/09 2:58:35 AM#24

What in the world?!!! How do u know the people quit? Because people are not on dosent mean that people are quitting. First i see people fuss about the waiting lines to play. Now u are complaining because there is no wait. About that clown who thought he was funny about the aerial combat thing. What did u think the fighting was gonna be like? U knew flying combat would be in the game. So what do u say about W.O.W players always jumping during combat and running around in circles? Oh and by the way u sitting in front of a computer screen for hours is not an awe inspiring picture either. So if u played Aion knowing that there would be dancing/ aerial combat and now u wanna make fun..that qualifies u as ignorant and a fool.

I am not surprised to see most of people leave the game.  Because it's way too hard for average players i.e. from WoW or Warhammer.   Those players pretty much can't stand any form of grinding either questing or grinding on the same mobs.  Most of them can't find quests (too many of them in the guild and they are from WOW...just keep whining "Where can i find quests?"  After I explain to them, they relized that  they didn't even bother to just walk down the path just a little bit further or just follow the main quest line to next town.

And some from Warhammer players left very soon, because they couldn't PvP to level up and they couldn't take the death penalty.  They feel that they die too fast and they can't be lvl 50 in 3 days.

So, yeah this is going to happen sooner or later.
