What we learned today is that the expansion will be delayed by a couple of weeks, until mid November because along with the new features being added to the game, the developers decided to include a major revamp of the siege and conquest mechanics. A lot of the changes they’re implementing also reflect on feedback given by the community. We'll try to find out more specifics on this and post an update about it. "

In 2003 they said they were going to delay beta for a couple of weeks, and it ended up being delayed for 5 years. So don't hold your breath.

They were never good in timing , but they have come a long way since (plus the fact that the company wanted to release that time isn't anymore and Aventurine took over Darkfall). Nowadays is really a matter of weeks.

At least sieges gets improved while delayed  according to customer FEEDBACK ,  now iam curious how someone can turn that into something bad and hateworthy  here. I am absolutely clear and sure about that there will be an immense amount of attempts..

Didn't they do a 2003 beta... I'm probably wrong on that but I thought they did have a beta. Anyways, it was owned by a different company back then,

Nope, no Beta in 2003.

They were also supposed to do a Clan Beta in 2005... when it was fully under Aventurine... guess what?  No Clan Beta either. 

Not that big of a deal though, as Darth said... they've never been very good with time-frames.

In the end, fans and even critics will forgive delays if the delivered product proves worth the wait.
