Instead of making a P2P PVP game, make one with an item shop. How could you do this without overpowering certain players and not lose money at the same time? The definition of insanity: doing the same thing over and over expecting different results. When will developers (and players) become sane? Now go eat some grass like everyone else. |

Easy, by making sure that anything you sell in your shop doesn't affect stats in any way. There are tons of F2P games where they exist just by allowing players to control they way they look via the cash shop. It's very profitable. Fear not fanbois, we are not trolls, let's take off your tin foil hat and learn what VAPORWARE is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vaporware "Vaporware is a term used to describe a software or hardware product that is announced by a developer well in advance of release, but which then fails to emerge after having well exceeded the period of development time that was initially claimed or would normally be expected for the development cycle of a similar product." |

See:
The NA audience is rather pigheaded about their unwavering belief that item malls offer massive advantages and are necessary to compete, whereas the rest of the world is enjoying the F2P PvP games. |

It's easy and could solve many other problems at same time by having the " item shop" not sell items but in game cash. That way players that have time and not much $ can get the in game items and sell them for in game cash to players that have $ and not time. Win-win situation for both types of players. This also helps combat 3rd party RMT. |

Well if they could just buy gold from site, ALL items would still need to be obtained in game, and it would be the best way to combat 3rd party RMT as well as allow all players equal access, and allow for all in game items to still be tradable/ droppable. Solves all problems in one blow, and allows only the developers to make a profit from their game. |

What is the game also has city siege mechanics? Where waring another nation costs a good amount of in-game gold. This would give some nations an advantage over others just because they have fat pockets IRL. The definition of insanity: doing the same thing over and over expecting different results. You'd have to avoid any item sold in your shop that can give advantage to it. That means no gachapon with rare items, no stat buffs, (even experience, unless you cap the level early and PvP only happens at cap) no combat pets, and no ways in general to pay for competitive advantage. Otherwise PvP becomes who spends the most money. You could: -sell vanity items and clothing -sell PvE buffs if PvP isn't open world or starts at a specific level. -sell non-combat pets -sell increased bag space -sell crafting goods. The only caveat to the last few is if PvP is heavily affected by in-game items in terms of performance. |

I would actually not mind a PVP f2p game with Item Mall. my limits though, Single-use items to enhance other weapons/armor 10% chance, I don't mind people gambling with thier money. Quanity of health/ mana potions. Bring it on... I really don't mind people payin money to fight me. weapons or armor within 10% of best found or crafted. I wouldn't mind being an underdog as long as I could still contend with them, my ultra rare raid-looted longsword doing 100 pts of damage and thiers 110 damage I could still have alot of fun and understand the risk but if the item mall weapons are 255 damage compared to my ultra rare raid-looted longsword of 100 damage and well... Id uninstall the game faster then Fantasy Earth Zero (no offense) |
