I really do believe that most mmorpgs could use more revealing outfits for the females. I'm glad to see Blades and souls agreed with me on that one, but I believe many more mmorpgs could really learn from lineage 2. /discuss

If you need more revealing, go play Playboy Manager. Otherwise, I think the industry hasn't it just about right.
Fear not fanbois, we are not trolls, let's take off your tin foil hat and learn what VAPORWARE is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vaporware "Vaporware is a term used to describe a software or hardware product that is announced by a developer well in advance of release, but which then fails to emerge after having well exceeded the period of development time that was initially claimed or would normally be expected for the development cycle of a similar product." |

So wait,
Do i vote yes to add to the OP's sarcasm or no because titanium thongs are getting out of hand? I can't decide, please someone help me! |

Let me just go through the emotes to find one which perfectly conveys my thought: Ah, here we go: "If you experience performance issues playing Limousine Online, please update your chauffeurs." |

I guess more revealing outfits would be neat.. but Full plate on female and full plate on male is the difference of a bikini and a turtle shell, respectively. Sometimes it really just doesn't make sense

I'm not sure if the OP is being sarcastic or not (hard to tell on the internet), but how much more revealing could you possibly get? I think it's bad enough already that if I want to make a female character in a MMORPG I have to wear clothing that makes her look like a street hooker or ready for some S&M. Do you want shirtless male characters running around in nothing but lioncloths and speedos with huge bulges? |

I voted other, since I dont think it needs to get more revealing, it needs to get more creative... like tentacle monsters as mounts and etc... thats definitely what the mmo industry is lacking, more visual pleasure for the straight men and unstraight women! not better gameplay and variation and innovation... |

What would be more reveling than what is available now? Seriously, ive played games that had women in bikinis... Wardrobe choices in many MMOs alienate female players and perpetuate hateful stereotypes, all for the sake of providing a rather questionable segment of the comunity with some eye candy. Im not oposed to the idea per se, in that i feel there would be nothing wrong with revealing outfits if other options were made available as well. It has nothing to do with prudish attitudes, id be perfectly comfortable with even nudity in MMOs if it was done in a tasteful and mature context, which is the reason i voted other. But it really infuriates me to see games in which cool items like leather trenchcoats and biker boots are made available to men, while women receive what is mostly a collection of different "cosplay" outfits. Just to make things clear... |

I think female outfits are a bit to revealing in some MMO's already. Sometimes I actually blush at some of them, because they actually look painful to wear, let alone fight. So, no....no more revealing outfits.
If the OP is being sarcastic, then kudos. |

In fairness then male outfits need to be more skimpy, let's not make this all 1 sided, eh? |

Since it leads to objectification of women, players should be given a choice wether they want their chars in revealing outfits or not. Apreciation of beauty is an abstract concept, leering is not. Edit; I think i was clear in refering to stereotyping as hateful, not to the apreciation of the human body. Just to make things clear... |

Depends on the game. Julie Bell and Boris type clothing for females are usually associated with fantasy. Stripped to the waste slave girls are part of the world of Conan as written by Rober E. Howard and other "more adult" fantasy worlds. On the other hand, Middle Earth did not depict women this way so in LOTRO it would seem out of place as it would in most fantasy mmo's. It has to be true, i have internet links. |

Im not saying i completely disagree, but if we used your standard there shouldnt really be more than a handful of women in LOTRO... and never outside of towns. Just to make things clear... |

And they would be dressed differently than what you would find in a game like AOC. I guess i miss your point. It has to be true, i have internet links. |

Age of Conan also has a number of outfits for female characters that were tasteful too. Some didn't even show cleavage. Most of the outfits on females looked similar on the male characters too - if you wore a lioncloth on a female character it would look like a loincloth on the male. The plate armor looked like plate armor on both genders (with a few exceptions too, but those also looked similar on the males). The "sexy" clothing definitely fit within the lore too. Overall AoC made great use of it's mature rating. |

Great... so more basement dwelling pondscum can oogle some pixels, masturbate and go grind some more. Seriously, you want more flesh? The average fantasy female wears 9 inches of armour, just enough to cover her vagina and her nipples... There are websites for nudity or more scantily clad women if you're looking for it. |

My point is MMOs cannot be entirely faithful to source material. Howards work was considered exploitative even at the time of its publication, Weird Tales was actually printed in pulp format. Now, you wouldnt just turn Blackula into an MMO without some alterations... Just to make things clear... |

If some of these games get any more revealing they will need an NC-17 label on them. Any fool can criticize, condemn and complain and most fools do. |

i think there are plenty of mmo's that show alot already. for example entertainers in star wars galaxies have option to wear clothing thats like princess leia in return of the jedi jabba scene. in some mmo's they push it far as they can anymore and then they will be nude. |

Obviously, that should be the standard armor for females across all games, regardless of theme, visuals, and any woman's opinion. In fact, let's extend this New Policy on movies. Hell, let's do it for REAL LIFE!! HI 5 BRO |

Sarcasm. Love it. But really, I agree with a couple of posts that outfits for the female classes are becoming less and less trouble for whatever digital tailor would be making 'em. I bet they could pull down one curtain and make enough "outfits" for an entire party of female mages. Although, I would agree with more creativity in the designs just not in the same way as someone posted above. LOL Opinion? I'm kinda tired of seeing less and less clothing on females that are becoming distasteful. Go ahead and add more clothes and make them more appealing. Less isn't necessarily better designed. |
