Yep Aion is just not fun past lvl 20 Personally have been playing Fallen Earth for 2 weeks now and just can't stop. It has a steep learning curve but just about everyone who plays it, loves it. (mind you the graphics aren't the best in FE)

I found Aion has the same problem for me as a lot of games released recently, it lacks the hook!
I dont find that I care about my character one way or the other, and this is important for me.
Also, the cleric rewards in sieges....wth were they thinking? The PvPvE is really just RvR with a different name.
I like aion, but my overall review would be:
Plenty of fluff, not enough stuff |

If you don''t know where you''re going you''re never lost. |
I hit lvl 19, did all the elite quests with my friend who was lvl 28. As a result I lost the xp to be gained when killing those mobs, which in a sense is quite normal; only with Aion there are not enough quests to compensate the xp loss and my only alternative to reach level 20 is either craft or grind (I still have 3/4 of my lvl 19 to up and I checked my "quests completed" log vs. internet quest list and I did all quests available at my level) => that's when I got bored. In addition, I feel like I am playing in a maze. You go from point A to point B, do some quests, then to point C, do some quests etc. I don't feel the "adventure experience" I felt when playing EQ2 for instance (even at low levels), with wide open spaces where you could wander around and discover some little dungeon, some npc or a rare mob; basically the essence of an MMORPG in my view... |

Interesting your opinion of what is fun is now, "FACT", as you put it. Probably the stupidest thing I have read this week. Currently Playing: NOTHING! Thinking of Playing: Fallen Earth or Darkfall after this months update. Have Played: EQ1, EQ2, WoW, WAR, Vanguard, EvE, Requiem, PW, Lotro, Lineage2, AoC, SWG... |

Aye. I just cancelled today. Its even playable til Nov 3rd but I uninstalled it. The bots, gold spams, LFG system sucks (felt like I was invisible most of the time), steep on money-demand on everything, the limitations on wearing wings.. facing barriers everywhere.. wtf? So defeats the purpose of this game, and ect..
The only pro about it is the graphics - it's absolutely gorgeous. That's about it. |

I've read most of the post on why people are getting bored of Aion. Here is my take: It is sold as a pvpve game with the emphasis on pvp end game. If you go to abyss as a lvl 25 looking for pvp you are toast as at this point, most people in abyss are higher than that. Sooooo... people are feeling the pressure of leveling up but to level up outside of the abyss means grinding. Forget doing missions as you end up dead most of the time on the elite areas and you waste tons of kinah on soul healing if you keep dying. Therefore casual players have to grind easy mobs to level up just like they were bots. In fact, if you want to level efficiently you have to play like a bot. I think grinding is boring. Most people probably agree with that statement. Therefore Aion is boring cause you have to grind to level up and be competitive. FYI: I used to be an Aion fanboi and got my friends to sign up. Now im bored just like the OP. |

try fallen earth, really does grow on you a lot more than Aion ever grew on me (although the CB and OB were awesome) once your past 30, the entire game just goes in a downhill motion of enjoyment. Graphics are wonderful though. the gold spams, ugh...
