The sun billers out a most glorious light, high above a bird circles within a magistic blue sky...

None of these stores carry Fallen Earth: BestBuy, GameStop, Target nor Wal-Mart. So, where can I buy this game besides ordering it online?

I assume they don't sell it in-stores because they assumed it wouldn't have huge demand because it's developed by an indie company.

GameStop was the only place I checked and they have it.

www.gamestop.com/Catalog/ProductDetails.aspx  -  This is what I got when I put in my zip code for the "store availability" area: In stock as of 8AM EST. Call store to confirm pricing and availability.

There's nothing wrong with ordering online though. It's usually slightly cheaper too, even with shipping.

If your willing to do some traveling, a few GameStops did get copies of the game, but they seem to be few and far between.  For me the nearest GameStop with a copy is two towns away, so I just got the digital download of the fallenearth website.

Digital distribution is the future of PC gaming, for many (some obvious) reasons. Embrace it, love it. Welcome to the 21st century.

Fewer options to buy is the wave of the future?

Some future.

Personally, I think a niche game from an Indie company just decided that the expense of boxes wasn't warranted.

Too bad, though.

It was a publishing problem. There are boxes they're just not available in the stores.

How much would you pay from an untouched metal box with dev team's signatures and soundtrack? Comes in a Fallen Earth branded messenger bag with a survivor T-shirt.
