Was not this one of the complains from the haters why DF was not a real MMO or something? "Outdated website". Well, not anymore.

I wasnt one to follow this game for more than 6 months pre-release. But from what I was reading on these boards from those of you that were regarding the one and only Tasos, you would have thought his name would have been the only one in the credits.

Thankfully some of us make up our own minds.

I see some things never change with some of the fans here. You still seem to think facts and history are malleable, and can be invented, altered, spun, omitted or embellished to suit the desired outcome...

It's the *fans*, ironically enough, who defended this by saying "the website is out of date and it doesn't matter what it says anyway"... giving any variety of lame cop-outs to excuse it (it's a small company, the game is what matters, you shouldn't use a game's official website to get details about the game... etc. etc...)  

Also, another minor detail... They were referring to the game website, not the official company website.

One thing that's always amazed me about some of the fans here is how you'll say whatever floats your boat - absolutely anything. Doesn't matter if it's false or made up... It doesn't matter if contradictory to something you said only a day earlier in another thread. It doesn't matter if it's proven wrong in a dozen different ways... If it sounds favorable to DF at the moment, you'll say it anyway. I'm in awe of the blatant display of shameless dishonesty from some of the fans here. Seriously.

I will never understand how some are so hurt by the changes made to this game throughout it's long development (I don't need anymore attempted explanations, I know the tale, I just don't get it). Spending less time following these games like a religion may be good for your health.

Sorry.. but you're as guilty of spin as the rest here. It's sad that the only way some people seem to be able to defend anything to do with this game is by spinning the facts in some way. It really reminds me of Shadowbane in that way; that game's rabid fans did the same thing.

"Changes made to a game during its long development" isn't what this is about, and you know it.

This is about the company advertising a game during development, before launch, during launch and even for a time after launch that simply never existed - despite Tasos' declaration that the game was "feature complete and ready for launch" months before it actually did. 

It was pointed out time and again and in every case, the rabid fans just kept up with their "well, the site is out of date and it doesn't matter what the site says anyway because the real fans know that you have to dig through the forums to find specific posts where they talk about not including those specific features so it's your own fault if you expect a game's official website to give an accurate or up-to-date representation of what the game is DF isn't for you go back to wow... blah blah blah".

Also, I'm sure you "understand the tale" perfectly well.. You just pretend not to so you can spin it into something else.  Darth's entire post history is packed with examples of that.

Anyway... I see things haven't changed around here. Some new faces, but still the same dishonest nonsense from the rabid fans attempting to spin DF and AV as something they aren't.

Not a rabid fan in anyway shape or form. I'm an EVE boy/man (whatever you need to call me) for life.

I do however enjoy other MMOs here and there, Darkfall currently one of them. And here /hug.

How much time needs to go by before you let this go? Because it's not just darkfall, I see this crap all over this site from specific consistant individuals. Everyone knows you do not agree with how AV ran their show. Me neither. Who cares? At this point either play it or don't. That seems only logical to me.

maybe i have to necro those topics were posted one after the other by haters wanting to make us believe that the company has no office , has no website (just a simple one) and therefor the game they develop MUST be vapor and all is there to scam money from investors  ? A shame moderation of these forum never locked those trolling threads ..they have to go through a learn process too regarding Darkfall.

What did we tell you then ? something like they need to work on the game to bring it to live before they work on something not that important like such a site ?

and something else ..now that "The Darkfall Team" consists of more names then Tasos ..how you feel having bashed  a really small team who created something that big like Darkfall now ?

WSIMike for an 04'er you either have horrible memory or you are just trolling. Probably the later... Just go to the Darkfall Genera Discussion here on MMORPG.com and go to the last page. Start moving towards today page by page and let me know how many threads that call Darkfall vaporware, a scam, a basement project etc. you can find. I would do it for you but you're a big boy, you can manage.

Nice rewrite of history there.  there were tons of threads and posts about how this was a game made in some basement in greece.  There were also tons more threads claiming even more off the wall explanations from investor fraud to 100% vaporware.

Also in reference to the website being outdated.  What I and many other fanbois correct many people on was to statements by developers saying what was and what was not going to be in the game.  These statements were more up to date on the state of the game.

The actual reality fo the situation is that on both sides their were morons making claims.  This forums seemed to have more hater morons while the main boards seemed to have more fanboi morons.

Anyhow, as for Aventurine's new corporate website, they finally have more information than Razorwax's  old site.

I was checking thier official forums to see if they had any news about the oct. expansion and saw the link for the new websit.

I clicked it.
And got an advert.  WTF?
I thought it was supposed to be about the company?  First thing I see is nothing but adverts for the game.

I love how people say we were lied to and stopped following the game in 2006 and then act all like WTF when the game drastically chagned. Go to the mmorpitalia site and the warcry site and read the interviews and watch the beta trailer. Same game people.

The whole small donation thing: Until a company is publically trade they generally can't take small investments for legal reasons. I don't know greek law so it could be different there or they could just want all the profits to go to the company.
