Are player able to bring their items back to 100% condition with repair kits or will the items eventually be destroyed/lost no matter what ? Just curious |

Nevermind, just found out there isn't any permanent decay in this game. Way to kill the economy devs !! Too bad, that game had potential for crafters. |

Many higher level crafted items are bind-on-equip. All crafted items can also be salvaged. |

Does any game have permanent decay? I honestly don't know and am just curious... However, at least while you are levelling up, you will replace items since higher skill requirement items will be better than lower ones. Once everyone is max level and has maxed out their skills, I do wonder, though... Ningen wa, ningen da. |

In a few months, when everybody has their high end weapons and armor, the economy is going to die in a hurry, there's going to be 0 demand for high end stuff. Swg had permanent decay, your nice armor or weapons would be worn down and destroyed soon enough so you had no choice but to go to a crafter and buy more. (read: constant demand at all stage of the game) |

That's a good idea. Please add it to the suggestion forums. I support it wholeheartedly. :) |

Originally posted by cyrana Yes, Dark Age Of Camelot had permanent decay as well, atleast when I played back in the days, not sure how it is now. It actually made some crafters famous on the servers and that is always a good thing for a game. Not all want to be the guy out in action all the time, some enjoy to be famous by doing things such as crafting and so on instead. I am more of an action type of player, but I want the other stuff in the game as well. My Own Browsergame: http://www.heroesoftheclan.com/ |

My guess is they're waiting a bit to implement it. Perhaps they want to get some lower level stuff up and circulating to get the economy going before they implement item decay or BoE (I hope it's the former). LoTRO did this. At release, all crafted stuff was not bindable or permanently decayable. People were saying the same thing about the economy. Then, about a month after release... bam... everything was BoE. |

Wish the EQ devs never invented this crappy Bind on equip / pick up system As an alternative to item decay they could have have items destroyed when you die ( like EvE ). Most Sandboxes with a player driven economy have some type of item loss system, if not a decay system. In Eve, for instance, both your ship and many of your modules are permanently destroyed. It's an important part of a functioning player economy. Otherwise the market stagnates because you never have to make a single item more than once for any individual character. Eventually everyone at cap gets all their high level gear and demand falls to almost nothing while supply continues to rise. The Fallen Earth people have decided to simply outpace this problem by pushing additional content and levels every few months. Whether that ends up working out the way they expect it to is yet to be seen. This also appears to be their answer for the game lacking a definitive "endgame." It's a different approach than any other MMO has taken, at least to my knowledge. |

This would be awesome thing. Not only it would help economy to circulate but also make factions more noticable as which have best crafters, most crafters or smth like that. I am sure it would have some effect in faction system. And if you think that undestructable items doesnt have impact on economy just look in Eq2... AH is filled with items cheaper then materials... |
