What ever NCsoft did in their patch today, the gold spamming has disappeared completely!  I just hope it takes a while for them to regroup!

They added a chat filter or spam filter forgot what it's called :)

I'm sure the gold sellers are feverishing working on ways to bypass the new filters right now, but for the moment, the spam has been almost eliminated completely.

In almost 4 hours of playing, I saw one gold seller spam message get through, and that was in Chinese script.

Dang! that's awesome! Another positive for Aion! 

This game looks impressive... I'm trying to get my friend to play it with me but, he won't unless there is a free trial.

I guess maybe NC does care??

Yep - everywhere I've heard as well this has been resolved. Almost no-gold spam what so ever on many reported servers.

Another win for NCSoft... another loss for the haters....

Seriously though - they obviously care of they wouldn't keep pleasing people (don't make me list items here.....)

I guess the sky isn't falling afterall lol.

Next on the agenda, NCSoft. Kill all the bots!! Then people will have to find new reasons to complain :D

Well it seems NCsoft dos realy care.....well maybe lol

First i thot my chat system is bugedup when i didnt see any gold spam for some time

buth then i took the time to read the patch note and realized the gold spamers are owned for good lol

I strated playing today on Kahrun, and when I logged on, there was tons of spam, then after a few minutes, as if by some strange arcane magic, it was all gone and it stayed gone for a long time. they came back, but after a few mins, it was gone again. Its good to see ncsoft is actually doing something about this scum.

It took them a while, but I guess they finally got their "stuff" together as far as the gold spamming.  But....can they take on the more game breaking problem...the bots.

I'm sure they are just changing their macros to not include exact website addresses or money signs and such.  WoW stopped allowing www.blahblahblah.com to be sent in chat, so they just got around it by doing weird things to the links.

Of course they care....lol. NCsoft has been doing a great job since CB. I'm not sure where all the hates coming from but its all bs in my opition. Me thinks the haters hate to see Aion doing well.  :-)

 Spam gone  today....bots gone tomorrow.  It's a shame they did not nip this in the bud immediately on release.

Where there is demand there will be supply, no matter what NCsoft does. The solution that has been put up is temprary, but futile as the only true way of solving gold spammers is to stop buying. 

Some people just have not worked out that buying gold = spam... the weird thing is i have seem buyers complain about spam too.

 After reading the patch notes i went to my block list and removed every name i had there in order to test. And bam, no spam on channels O.O

Great work for now at least, they will ofcourse try to go around this new filter, but at least according to what they said they will be updating it very regularly without the need to special updates to the game, since they can patch the filter on the background.

And to make things even better and for more proof they care, they are giving every character 5 Lodas Amulets. (20% xp increase for 1h each)

It seems to me that since all the spammers are level 5, that it would make much more sense to allow each region to have it's own LFG chat, as WoW was when it launched. Allowing level 5's, which takes MAYBE a half hour, to spam the chats of those 20-50.. is just simply irrational. I am not here to flame NCSoft, as I do like the company, but this seems like something they could do much more easily than anything else.

 Nicely done, NC is slowly improving and fixing their game issues.

Agreed.  This is very logical and should be implemented.

This would be a great argument.. if the blocklist was unlimited.
