Greetings, I played LotRO solid for 6 months, ending in January this year just after Mines came out. I had only made it to around Quest 10 of the Epic Quests as most players had swapped over to MoM and I found it difficult to find enough players to do the quests. I've been playing DDO since then, with my subscription ending a couple of weeks ago just after it went "free" to play. If I reinstall now from the original Shadows DVD, I will need to patch for a day or two just to get up to the current version and that will not include the MoM expansion will it ? Should I go with the TDM version or the Pando version ? Does the version that I download through TDM or Pando include the MoM content or is it just the SoA content (and once I upgrade to MoM, I'll need to DL the MoM content) ?
On my account page with Turbine, I can 'resume' or 'upgrade' my Standard account account, both lead to different pages: The Lord of the Rings Online™: Mines of Moria™ Digital Expansion - US $9.99
I could also upgrade my Open Beta account with the following : The Lord of the Rings Online™: Mines of Moria™ Digital Complete Edition - US $9.99
I'm unsure which I should do but I'm assuming that I should go with the upgrade from my Standard account. Help... |

For installing I'd recommend you get it off their site or whatever. It'll cut your patching time down by quite a bit. I made the mistake of using my discs once a few months back. It was a painful download.
I have a lifetime sub, so I won't comment on the subbing questions. |

Well, This is what it says at the main website page:
During The Lord of the Rings Online™ Welcome Back Week from October 15th through October 21st, you can play your old characters for free** and get a +25% XP Bonus***. Plus, if you come back now and renew your subscription to LOTRO with any 3-, 6-, or 12-month $9.99/month* subscription plan by October 31st, we’ll give you The Lord of the Rings Online™: Siege of Mirkwood™ digital expansion for free* (regular price $19.99)!
You may want to consider the above option |

But, you're still going to have to buy Mines of Moria in order to get Siege of Mirkwood. I use skooma so that I can work harder and longer and make more money so I can buy more skooma. I don't see a problem. |

Indeed, try that OP. ...Because I got that email and my account still shows closed. |

Thanks for the replies. I've got it sorted now. Downloaded the Pando version (6.4G) which includes both SoA and MoM. Upgraded my account to include MoM @ $9.99 per month (3 month sub) Installed it, logged in and patched it (1 minute @ 400 Kb/s). Started playing, finding myself at Rivendell (lvl 50 Hunter) I set off down to kill a few giants and drakes and prompty got myself eaten by an elite lvl 40 drake. Guess I'll have to kill a few lower lvl mobs to get myself back in focus (been 10 months since I played). |
