I've read a post mentioning a bot problem and another massive bans. I'd like to know if the bans solved a bot problem or if there was one to begin with.

A problem? No it's not a problem yet but it is a nuisance. We will just have to wait and see how it goes over the long term. |

i dont understand why everyone has such a fit over the botters, to be completely honest. i log in, click 3 names and click Block, and the problem is solved for my entire day's playing experience. its really not a hassle, and definitely not worth venting for hours on forums over. i understand if its unnecessary, and if maybe people want to talk about it, thats cool, but worth rage-quitting over? i dont know.. im not saying aion is perfect (or even good, or bad for that matter), i just dont think that that 5 second inconvenience should be the deciding factor for cancelation. |

I'm asking because Aion seems a lot like Lineage2 from what i've read and in that game botting ruined the economy to the point where they put the originally crafted gear in vendor shops. I don't mean spam bots, i mean money making bots.

Never heard of that. Interesting though, I hope that's not the case for Aion as well. |

MMORPG Character Monuments ...When its time for your character to take a well deserved rest... |
Its annoying on startup where you are immediatly spammed on the LFG channel. HOwever after blocking 3-4 names the channel goes quiet again. I just wish we could report them as easily as we block them. perhaps NCSoft has some alarm when a character is blocked X number of times ...they should |

Once again, i don't mean spam bots. I mean automated character killing stuff to make money.

they actually recently banned proxies, there was a post here by legit people complaining because they was using proxies to reduce their pings. |

Last night while grinding away the bots started disappearing, then a nice GM said in General "That should take care of those, keep reporting them and we will keep banning them" They are working to make it better but like others said they always come back. Anyway I hope they keep at it and get rid of more accounts. |

yeah i know was answering the spmmer guys, but no the bots themselves aren't too bad but you do see a few names lkjgkj running in circles, there is an autoreporthunting command taht is an actual skill in the active skills list. you report them and they'll get less and less from killing till they get nothing, that happends before NC gets around to looking to see if they are infact a bot and need banned. in the korean test right now they added "metal poisoning" i believe its called to kill the minning bots. what happends is there is a chance you'll get metal poisoning from gathering, when that happends a box pops up and just like when you sign up at a site for something there is a string of random letters written all funky that youhave to type in there. you just type it iin to remove the sickness and as we all know botters won't be able to read the letters and copy/paste them in there so while sickness is on they can no longer gather. |

So far i have not seen many bots in Eltnan area, maybe 8 total since i been around, but i also have not been around the whole map. Theobomos i have seen upwards of ten near the starter outpost, as for Herion i have not been there yet but i hear its got a number of them there. I can't see it becoming as bad as L2 was cause of how easy it is to craft the items needed in Aion. Maybe if the Kinah becomes super cheap like below five dollars then you might see a rise in prices. Currently playing: Aion Played: L2 RFO EvE R.O.S.E EQ2 HellGate:London TRIBES2 WOW WarHammer |

They are quite prevalent on my server. So far on Elyos side, they have their fave spots -around Verteron's Observatory, by the drakes in the Eracus Desert, and the krall by the Golden Bough Fortress. Very frustrating when you're trying to quest in those three areas. So far it doesn't seem like NCSoft is doing much but I'm not privy to what may going on behind the scenes so I could be wrong. Sure doesn't seem that way though but hopefully they start cracking down on them soon. They may be already but all I can say is how things look from my perspective. |

The bot problem is getting worse, not better. You can find bots almost everywhere you go. Sometimes it's annoying since you need to kill the things they are killing, other times they are clearing a path for you. Either way, it should be eliminated. |
