After playing 3 weeks now I have pretty much decided not to sub. My charcter range from lvl 35 on down. I'ts not a bad game just in need of some TLC. There are alot of things to like about the game and there are alot of things that were annoying as hell.

Autoattack - This is the worst implimentation I have ever seen in a game. With both ranger and SM it was a constant clicking effort to keep it engaged. It was buggy and often the AA would just stop on its own.

Spammers and bots - Worst I have seen in a very long time.

Class balancing - Nonexistant. I keep hearing how it all balances at 50. Hey thats great and all but doing 50 levels with unbalanced characters is not alot of fun. Playing either of the 2 scout clases at early levels was painfull to say the least compared to the ease other classes get.

PVE & Scaling - Poorly implimented. There are major level gaps where classes get inadequate skills to level with. This turns grinding into a chore. This I think will kill more subs than anything else. In my guild we are seeing alot of lvl 30's players quiting.

Small play areas - Game areas post 25 cannot handle the amount of players playing. The world is too small. You will find that the good leveling spots are camped 24/7 by bots and farmers. This leaves you with the undesireable mobs ( And they are undesireable for a reason ).

I'm sure there will be a bunch of excuses posts and the ussual your a troll crap. But hey these are my experiances.

Yeah the bots are bad. I guess I shouldn't have expecting anything less though this is NCSoft and anyone who's ever played L2 knows bots are apart of the game. I don't like the constant spamming of gold selling either it's absolutely rediculous. The game does have a lot going for it though I will say that. For me though it just doesn't fit like I thought it was going to. Maybe after it's matured a bit more and people actually start doing major PvE content I'll start back up. For now though I don't think it's for me.

Stop posting Crap, waiting for spawns is prety much a non-issue in Aion specially at lower levels. And there was a huge Bot ban-wave only a few days ago.

There are indeed Bots, but not in Aion. But rather right here in this forum posting the same crap over and over. Is the Op the same person who started this thread like only 2 days ago?

Since it has been shown that Aion does have a problems with bots, and with numerous other threads by other forum members to back him up, I think I will have to believe the OP here.

Backed by whom ? Anonymous forum wanderers ? And when did your opinion became the final judgment of the matter if i may ask? Those making such claims should link there character profiles and explain why do they not report the so spoken about Bots like every responsible player should do.

But Until that happens, the title of 'Shills' is reserved to the Doom spreaders who seem to persist in the this forum section for no clear reason.

Aleste have you played Aion at all? There are bots scattered all through the 10-20ish area. The higher level non rift zone is twice as bad. People on the Aion source boards ask for the opposing faction to kill said bots in the abyss. It is a problem a big enough one that there are plenty of people willing to unsub for it.

Aleste, There is a bot problem in Aion...I will put my name to this issue if you wish it.

However I will also add that , for the most part, I have not found bots to be a hinderence to my gameplay or enjoyment. Its easy to spot them ..they have no vouls in their name (names like 'qljd' and 'ksjdhf') and easy to block their spams after logging in. Once you block 5 or so spammers you are set for the night..however you will need to block 5-6 more the next day.

As a whole they are leveling up ..doesnt look to me that the auction house and player economy have been terribly effected (Yet, this game is very young). The spammers are the worst, they bot till level 5 then spam messages with little to no delay...it makes absolutely no business sense because they force people to block them. Such brash behavior however does make me worry that they feel they are in control.

IN the end, although the players are still evaluating and deciding on Aion, there seems little doubt that the gold selling and P-leveling industry feel Aion is the next WoW.

Do you play Aion?

Check out Alsig Village sometime, just northeast of that village you'll see an infestation of bots. They are like locusts there.

I don't agree with most of his other gripes but there are quite a large number of bots runnng around in this game least on my server, Ariel.

Feel free to look up my character, Wickedjelly, if you need proof I actually play.

I do enjoy this game but the bot problem, actually way more than the spamming, is a huge concern to me.  It makes it difficult for those actually trying to play the game to get things done in some areas and if it is allowed to continue at this pace the economy is going to go to absolute shit in this game.

...and I do report them. :)

I was told there's some kind of skill called "reporthunt" or something that you use on the bots and it makes them gain less and less xp until they get nothing. Does it help?

When you use that it sends a report to the gms that you believe someone is botting and they are supposed to look into it.  As to how much it helps in the whole scheme of things I cannot say one way or the other.  I know NCSoft asked people to utilize that feature to help them catch people doing this but as to how much they're looking into these matter I cannot say.
