live is like a box of.....

Who is going to play this game?

Ever since EQ i never played any other games but MMO's... but there is something missing in an MMO. They don't make me feel special. They don't make my choices count. They don't make me feel like playing the lead in the latest fantasy movie.

I want to play a game and write the book myself. Thats what i miss in MMO's these days, everyone ends up with the same story. There are no meaningfull choices. I don't mind quests, i really endore/love quests that are part of an interesting plot/background story.  Its just that in current day MMo's everyone gets the same result from a quest (And that result is XP/gold/gear) where i want to play games to live the story and be and feel different.

So i am going to stop MMO's untill i have finished  Dragon Age.......

After that i will possibly continue with MMO's and hopefully wayt for the day that there comes an MMO that has questchoices that matter and here every character i play gets  a different story based on their choices.

I really love how they do the main story quests in LOTRO, the instanced stories, but sadly the outcome is allways the same. I realise that to make a world with different storylines it will need 5 times the quests that LOTRO has, but so be it. If its neccesary to get the genre a step further, then it should happen.

So does anyone agree ?

I started playing mmo's because of neverwinter nights and Morrowind. I thought that an mmo would give me the same type of game play but with human competition.

boy I was wrong!

Nevertheless, I still play oblivion and had played both morrwind and neverwinter nights for years.

I wasn't going to get this game because I just don't like the graphics. They are a bit plastic looking. But after reading the features I decided that this would definitely be a game that, if it comes through on its promises, will be fun and have a huge replay value.

Is this game a single player RPG for PC or a MMORPG?

Wow,where have you been?  Their are other games outside mmorpg ,you know.

It's a single player RPG made by BioWare, yes the same Bioware who are making SWTOR.

You can even download the character creation now and upload your toon ..

Definitely getting it... I preordered the CE as soon as it became available.  BioWare has yet to let me down with any of their games.

I love games like these.  A break from the grind of an mmo.  Your own world, do what you want, not have to worry about raiding, save and quit whenever you want.  I'll deffinately get this game for either 360 or pc.  It looks promising

I disagree with MMOs should make you feel like the hero - that's what a single player game is for.

Anyways, yes...I'll probably pick this up :)

I too can hardly wait for DA to come out and like many others, I have become tired of the run of the mill MMO's. I will miss raiding with my Everquest friends. Time is another factor, It is great to save your game and come back where you left off.

I recently bought the Mass Effect download and have been playing that when I can. Did you know that if you pre-order Dragon Age through Gamestop you get special Dragon blood armor? You also get a code that lets you use Dragon Blood armor in Mass Effect 2 when it comes out early next year (gonna be sweet).

Sorry to sound like someone who works for Gamestop. I dont ..  :)

People wanting to be the hero is what has ruined mmos.  If everyone is a hero, who is special?

I play single player games to feel heroic, and yes I pre-ordered Dragon Age.
