That might be sexist, the way it is worded now its empowering.  It shows a un named womans strength to overcome an adversary.  If you think it any way else, you probably have the issues that need to be dealt with.

 All i got out of it was a girl chopped of someones head.  I didn't see any sexism but I'm not very PC I'm actually quite against PC actually. Just like I'm against affirmative action I think the best person should get the job not someone who is not as qualified  but is a minority. I'm no racist or sexist, as a matter of fact I have this kick ass chick guitarist in my band and I'm not ashamed to say she kicks my ass at solo's.

Sexist would be:

-Male characters get 20% more loot from the same mobs

-Female characters will always have their bags full

and so on..

I liked how female charecters did 30% less damage than their male counterparts in AoC.  I have had the displeasure of playing with many female gamers as of late and AoC can have them, i have yet to have a good experience with a female gamer in an MMO. If they keep quite and don't let me know they are female they are fine, but the ones that make you know they are a girl are bad news.

I don't think AoC has enough going on for most male players, how long does nudity and gimick violence take to get dull? for me it is under an hour.

It's the world of Conan and Red Sonja. Deal with it.

LOL I just saw that add on aion armory, and it is the worst add ever.....some guy who looks like a loser with a beard plays AIon, and some other dude playing as a female killed him?  Aion's PvP is bad so why would they advertise for PvP? You can kill other players in many game, most are better.

Every time I think AoC has hitten the bottom, it tops itself.

I though the 6 month advertisement where they bribed new players with a mamoth mount was about as bad as it could get. Nope.

You can definently fault AoC/Funcom for having deserted servers with more flaws and problems than I care to list, but being "sexist" isn't something I believe they are guilty of.

 My wife actually, she enjoys the game quite a bit. Maybe it is because she can lop off men's heads.
 

I think it is sexist for you to think the ad is sexist. The ad points out that a woman can have power, that men should not be so macho and upright about themselves and that just because they are men does not make them better. If anything, the ad evens the sexes to an even playing field

Considering you are male as well (according to profile) then what would you know about what a female thinks? I know for a fact my wife laughs at such an ad.

Isn't there a certain level of sexism when it comes to the Conan Universe?

I have no problem with humor that fits in with the material it draws from.

AOC marketing ploys are and have alway been:

- tailored to a specific young male audience

- cheap & shallow

- costly

They must spend fortunes on PR, considering their major marketing offenses since launch. They should have rather spent that money on the game itself.

Funcom has annoyed me time and time again by their aggresive and shallow PR. "Online gaming has never been so sexy / brutal / etc"

Guess I don't fall in their target audience of slightly unintelligent pubescent boys who bounce around on testerone :)

I'm NOT saying that all AoC players are like this (I've played it myself a few months ^_^) but it sure looks like Funcom thinks that is where their target audience lies. If I would still play it I would feel insulted.
